Easy to set up, worked right out of the box over PoE. Comes with various mounting hardware. Very fast, able to get my ISP's maximum speed (500Mbps), low latency (20-30ms in games). Does fine in the wind/rain. Would recommend.

This thing works pretty well for my needs: throwing gigabit internet 30 feet across my yard to a shed. Worked through one of my windows, not the other. Beware if you cannot install outside, 60ghz will have a lot of trouble penetrating certain windows. Might consider a narrower band if you need to penetrate any surfaces. My setup is: ISP modem --> Google Nest router (with PoE adapter) --> Master unit --> Slave unit --> Google Nest router (with PoE adapter) --> computer. I'm pulling 850-900mbps on the computer and 650mbps on my wifi devices in the shed off an advertised 1gbps fiber connection. Pretty awesome technology. Install was easy once I wrapped my mind around it (I have no clue about networking). As for the devices themselves the setup was plug-and-play in my experience. No additional tweaking necessary once everything was plugged in and the devices were pointed at each other.

They work great. I checked my speed at the router cat5 port and it was 948mbps. Installed the wireless wire with a clear line of site shot between antennas. Distance between antennas is about 250 feet. The speed at the other end was 945mbps. With resonable rain fall the speed was still over 900mbps. I held a lazer pointer against the antennas to insure they were pointed right at each other. They work Great! I would highly recommend!

I pole-mounted them outside on the ground, facing each other. Setup was easy, pretty much "set it and forget it." They have been up about two days now and have been incredibly stable. I consistently get 800-980 Mbit throughput. These replaced a 5Ghz bridge that we were lucky to see 40 Mbit on a good day, and even down to single Mbit on a bad day. (Those were from another company) I highly recommend this Mikrotik bridge, it is fantastic. Update: 05-23-2019. Been using this for over a month now. Solid performance. Truly set it and forget it. Haven't needed to reboot, re-setup, or anything. Truly love it. Update 10-2019: We've had this about 7months now. It has worked perfectly, no reboots, no restarts, nothing. It has been running like a Timex and we consistently get 900+ Mbps throughput. Best purchase I ever made. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Update 10-2022. Runs like a Timex. These have been outside in all kinds of weather, storms, rain, wind, thunderstorms, ice, snow, HEAVY rain, heatwave, and we have not had a single problem with them. I almost forget about them sometimes. I could not be more pleased with these devices. Update Aug 2025. These things run like a Swiss watch. I tell you, other than occasional updates, these are like the old Ronco infomercials. Just set it and forget it, they just work. Keep in mind these these things have been exposed to the elements since 2019. Heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, you name it. Not a problem.

We use these to bridge between our livestream cameras and our tech computer about 70ft away. That distance is nothing for this bridge but is too far for WiFi, especially with the high bandwidth needs of NDI (low latency lossless video) and interference from a few hundred phones. We even use it to connect a unify AP back to the router to expand the wifi coverage. I was worried that this would be too finicky to setup each week (we are a mobile church) but it's very forgiving. I've read that each end has about a 60 degree antenna which matches my experience. Just point them in the general direction of each other and you get a full speed connection. One end sits on the floor but it doesn't seem to have an issue with people walking by or anything. The only time I've seen it have connection issues was when we happen to put a speaker directly between the 2 devices. Moved one end over a foot and it connected fine.

This thing is awesome. I needed something to connect my pool house to the internet. It's a seperate unit and running cat 6 to it would have been a crazy amount of work as I would have had to break concrete. I even paid a bunch for an eero mesh because I had heard it had strong coverage. The POE makes this thing really easy to install as long as you have line of sight, I mounted them to my house with flag pole mounts from home depots, home theatre speaker mounts would probably work. Before with my eero and extender every time I tried to stream a 1080p rip it would overheat my eero and kill the stream at some point in the movie, and I couldn't stream a 4k rip without it buffering every 15s, with the wireless wire it instantly loads the 4k rip with no buffering and my speed test.net showed 900/950. It's nice cause my consoles are out there so patches and downloading games is super fast and I'm sure the connection is more stable for gaming. Also I was curious if this would add latency, it did not and speed test.net literally gave me a 1ms ping. Only thing I wish it had was some more instructions on how to adjust and make sure you have the ideal signal, and an app to help you do that would be really helpful, I have no idea if repositioning would make a stronger connection, but it's testing out at 900/950 so I can't complain.

My cheap TP-Link ones, while slower, were far more reliable than these. I have a clear view no obstructions they are about 150' away from each other and drop out constantly. After about 25 days they just stopped communicating with each other. My TP-Link ones still work after 8 months I just wanted a faster connection because those are limited to 100mb. Returning these overpriced paperweights UPDATE: Mikrotik does NOT stand behind their product. Their tech support is located on the other side of the globe, they respond in the middle of the night, and that's only after several days of nothing inbetween responses. They clearly try to run out your return window or warranty so you're stuck with junk.

These things do exactly what they advertise. Easy to mount, easy to align, and no programming. They work perfectly out of the box. I have 9 links of up to 200 Meters and the bandwidth varies up to 600 Mb/s. Mostly because that's all the bandwidth I have! They can be blocked by even small objects so need good line of site. I had one link of 80 meters that was intermittent due to an 8 inch sailboat mast that was drifting back and forth through the path. Moved one end a few feet and worked perfectly. Update 1-2020, I've added some more of these for other sites and the result is the same. Great!

Bought this to extend a wired network downstairs in an old house (would have to wreck some coving to wire internally, and didn't want to fall off a ladder trying to wire externally). Have the downstairs unit on a corner table and the upstairs unit on the bottom of a wardrobe (directly over the downstairs unit), facing down. Worked perfectly even in this setup. One layer of plasterboard (the roof) and two layers of wood (floorboards and wardrobe) don't seem to cause problems. YMMV but this was really unexpected, thought I'd have to roof mount one of the units downstairs so it could "see" the lower one. Getting a solid 930Mb/s according to iperf (wondering if that could be the gigabit port it's connected to limiting it, rather than the radio link). Latency is under 1ms, even with the link saturated, which is miles better than 5GHz wifi. They're also very neat looking, even if one did need to be roof mounted it would look no more intrusive than a smoke alarm. PoE adapters are a nice addition.

Der MikroTik RBWAPG-60ADKIT macht bereits beim Auspacken einen guten Eindruck. Alles ordentlich verpackt und vollständige Lieferung mit allem, was man braucht einschließlich POE-Adapter, Rohrschellen, Wandhalterungen usw. Das Set ist vorkonfiguriert, d. h. man kann es ohne weitere Installation sofort in Betrieb nehmen. Das einzige, was es zu beachten gilt, ist die Unterscheidung zwischen den beiden Geräten MASTER und SLAVE. Diese findet man unter der jeweiligen Kabelabdeckung der Geräte auf einem Aufkleber mit allen Daten. Sicherheitshalber noch einmal die MAC-Adresse auf dem Gerät und dem Aufkleber vergleichen, dass man die Geräte im Eifer des Gefechts nicht verwechselt. Ansonsten ist absolut nichts zu tun; einfach aufstellen, anschließen und fertig. Wirklich wichtig ist lediglich die möglichst exakte Ausrichtung aufeinander; je besser und sorgfältiger man hierbei zu Werke geht, umso besser funktioniert die Funkstrecke und damit die Stabilität und Datengeschwindigkeit. Man muss hierzu nicht mit einem Laser ans Werk gehen; eine möglichst genaue Ausrichtung nach Augenmaß reicht schon. Um die Ausrichtung mit den Geräten selbst so exakt wie möglich zu machen, helfen vier kleine LED-Balken unter dem Kabeldeckel; wenn diese auf beiden Seiten alle leuchten, hat man's recht gut getroffen. Bäume und andere Hindernisse sollen natürlich nicht zwischen der Wegstrecke sein, dann klappt die Verbindung wirklich ausgezeichnet. Bei meiner Installation verbinde ich zwei Gebäude mit einem Abstand von ca. 50 Metern und erreiche bei meiner 1000er Leitung einen sagenhaften Durchsatz von ca. 850 Mbits/sec.! Also, dieses Set kann man wirklich mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Wer allerdings ins Eingemachte gehen möchte, sollte sich mit der Materie schon ein bisschen auskennen. Die beiden Geräte im Set können über ein LAN-Kabel per Web-Interface sehr umfangreich und differenziert eingestellt werden, aber das ist wohl in den meisten Fällen gar nicht notwendig. Einzig das Firmware-Update muss über das Web-Interface gemacht und hierfür im Gerät ein Netzwerkzugang angelegt werden; das ist ein bisschen tricky und nichts für Anfänger. Da dies aber für die Funktion als solches nicht zwingend erforderlich ist, macht man am besten keine Experimente sondern packt das Set aus und nimmt es so wie es ist, einfach in Betrieb - funktioniert! Fazit: Ein tolles und wirklich schnelles Set, das MikroTik da zusammengestellt hat. Alles ist vorkonfiguriert, und selbst wenn man wirklich mal in die Verlegenheit kommt, die Geräte zu resetten, behalten sie die Konfiguration und finden sich sofort wieder von selbst. Von meiner Seite eine absolute Empfehlung für diese tolle und einbaufertige Bridge, die in ihrer vollständigen Ausstattung einschließlich POE-Adaptern auch noch erfreulich preiswert ist - TOPP!
