Well, Whad A Ya Know...After Two Purchases Of Different CDs ( Both On CAPITOL / EMI ) I Finally Found One With " In My Room " Along With The Other Bog-Standard Tracks Found On Almost All Of Their " Greatest Hits " Or " Best Of " CDs And LPs.Much Like Their Other Acts, The Label(s) Must Want The Consumer To Buy More Than One CD / LP.( Steve Miller Comes To Mind )Those Marketing Folks In The " Tower " ( Hollywood ) Were Always Known As " Tricksters " Anyway( Not To Mention, CAPITOL Records Has Been Sued By Almost Every Act On Their Roster For Back-Royalties, Including Action Brought By The Beach Boys )" People Like Arthur Lee ( Love ) Used To Stand In Front Of The " Tower " And Dream Of Recording For CAPITOL "" Little Did They Know, The Reputation The Outfit Had Among Other Music Outlets "Even Though I Am From Southern California ( Born And Raised ) I Was Never A Big Beach Boys Fan, However, I Have Grown In My Appreciation Of What They Have Written And Recorded( I Did Like The Late Dick Dale, And Saw Him Several Times At Santa Monica And Redondo Beach5 Stars For The Beach Boys

Excellent compilation, well-recorded and presented. Having paid the nominal sum of just 20p for this item, I was not anticipating the quality of the selection or the top quality re-mastered sound. All original Capitol/EMI tracks and whilst not a comprehensive anthology, all the favourite surfing sounds are here with absolutely no fillers. Do not be put-off by the plain front cover - the colour and sunshine are all inside! Recommended.

This CD, as you would expect, is a wonderful collection of songs capturing the sounds of the 60's and evoking great memories of hot summers spent on sandy beaches with rolling waves, albeit in the UK. A shame that Kokomo is not included but it is difficult to cover everybody's taste of their greatest. The 5 stars are awarded purely for the genius of the Beach Boys and their wonderful harmonies on this collection.However, although I already own a copy of this disc I had been unable to play it on my Roberts Sound 53 located in the kitchen although it will play on my main audio system containing a Marantz CD separate. As this appeared to be a 2014 remastered edition I found that on checking the interior jewel case leaflet this remastered version is in fact the same 1995 remastered version I already own and that the only difference appears to be the inclusion of the Copyright in Spanish included on the disc label and on the label on the reverse of the jewel case. Lo and behold this CD also refuses to play on my Roberts so it has been returned to Amazon for a refund.

I have loved the Beach Boys for over 40 Years.Great that the CDs on Amazon are a smart price.

For old time's sake I wanted some particular Beach Boys tracks. This CD provided all of the tracks I wanted and quite a few other popular Beach Boys tracks. The sound quality was okay, not great, but okay. Basically the CD did what it said on the tin.

Anyone who likes the Beach Boys will love this cd and remastered.

Good compilation of beach boys hits, good quality recording

I actually still have the cassette but this CD version is even better for clarity. It is one of my favourite 'greatest hits' albums of all time ❤️
