Easy to move and assamble
We bought this boxspring because a traditional boxspring cannot be moved up our staircase without having to remove the banister (which, if done often can be a serious safety problem). The boxspring came in a small pack, easy to move through the house. Assembly did not take long and, except for one step was extremely easy. The only hard step is aligning the center joints, doable, but takes some effort. The result is metal box spring that is lighter than a traditional boxspring and more solid. We have two other modular boxsprings in the house for a brand of bed Sleep Number where you can adjust the firmness via a dial inflating its mattresses. Compared to those boxsprings, this metal boxspring is easier to move about (it doesn’t collapse like the others). The boxspring fit our queen-sized bed frame perfectly, no need for slats under it. We didn’t try to disassemble and reassemble it again (which one may do for moving), it would be possible but probably not something that you can repeat too many times.

Great support/stable base
Ours arrived yesterday and like many others have noted, it took a minute to figure out the instructions. Once we did, it went together pretty easily, although we didn't end up using the little wrench they sent, it didn't stay on the nuts well enough to tighten them good. So we used our own wrench for that part.Once assembled we attempted to put the cover on. Please note that there are NO instructions on how to install that part. But you know, it's a cover so it should be pretty simple right??? Wrong, we flipped it every possible direction, stretched till if felt like it was going to come apart at the seams but no matter how hard we tried, we were unable to get it to actually fit. We are assuming that, again like many others, we received the wrong size cover. I've emailed the company and hope to be able to update my review with a positive experience. As far as performance and comfort, it was an obvious improvement from our 20+ yo wooden (2 piece) box spring. We just bought a new mattress as well and wanted a nice new supportive base. We could tell as soon as we got in the bed that it felt more supported/stable. I don't think it effected the 'firmness' of our mattress at all but just gave us a much better foundation.

Solid feel and fit; easy to put together.
We purchased this for a guest bedroom, we have not used yet, but it feels solid and fits the bed frame perfectly. Just as a note, we weren't sure how much assembly would be required - the answer is total assembly. The box comes with the individual pieces of the frame to assemble, fortunately they fit and lock together easily with hex head bolts and nuts.Assembly was fast and easy; we used the tools provided, and despite being smaller, worked fine.We read previous comments about the difficulty in putting the cover on the support frame, so before we added the internal support beams, we stood the frame on it's end and fitted the open cover end at the top. We quickly figured out how the cover aligned. We then laid the frame down, pulled the cover the rest of the way to the open top for cross support frames. We then put in the cross support pieces and zipped the cover closed. The whole assembly process, including the cover, took about 45 minutes. Will update on guests' comfort, but dog seemed very happy with 'his' new bed.

Great design and functionality, but the cover was the wrong size, which requires an Act of Congress to correct.
The design of this thing is great. It comes in a flat pack box and, at first, you can't really believe it has a box spring in there. Assembly is not difficult and everything is rock solid. However, when we went to put on the cover, it wouldn't fit. No matter how hard we pulled and stretched. No matter what angle we approached. It wasn't happening. It was 3-4 inches too small on both sides. So I called Amazon to see if they could have a new cover shipped. Nope. To get a new cover, I'd have to disassemble the entire box spring and return the whole deal, at which point they would send me a new one. That didn't sound worth it to me, so I bought a mattress cover to fit the box spring and made due.For what it might be worth, the cover issue may be isolated and, had it not been for the cover issue, I would have given this 5 stars.

Not the slickest product out there.
If I had is to do over I would order the more expensive box spring. The instructions were marginal. The holes did not line up and I had to drill out some of the holes so the bolts would go through. The cover was so tight that we were afraid that the zipper would rip out.

Great product.
Very happy with this bed frame. Easy to assemble. All parts were on it. This is an excellent and affordable way to get your bed up off the ground. It is not to high or to low. It is just right. This is very durable, heavy and will support heavier weight individuals. I also bought a mattress to go with it. This is great for me and my husband. We both like it.

Don't purchase if you're overweight (300 lbs+)
Update:A year later the slats were bent after normal use between my 300 lbs and my two 80 lbs dogs. The overall box seemed secure, but many slats were bent and eventually became unusable. The box spring itself is great quality and doesn't make noise with a 300 pound person on it. The instructions require a bit of common sense as they don't hold your hand, but I was able to get it done in 30 minutes or so by myself. My only issue (that others seem to have mentioned) is that they send you a queen size cover for it. I'm just going to buy a cover, but it's kind of disappointing.

Very satisfactory.
This went together pretty easily, even though I had never used to combination of tools included. Getting the middle parts to line up was a little tricky, but once that was done, the corners went easily. Then I went back and tightened the center screws before putting in the slats. I had help stretching the cover over, but I might have been able to do it myself. And now that it's together and under the memory foam mattress, it's giving very good support. We're very pleased we got it.
