JoieWedgey Egg Slicer

The egg slicer is super cute. Unfortunately, within a month of purchase and after slicing less than a dozen eggs the wires became too loose and now won't cut all the way through. Honestly, just buy one that's a little more expensive that may work so that you don't spend your money twice.

Works great and kids like to use it.

It was nice at first but having it since January and using it maybe 4 times, it broke and is worthless.

I ordered this to replace my old hard boiled egg slicer. I guess I'm especially hard on them because they always manage to break a wire or two on me. This one is really cute and gets the intended job done. I was slicing bananas the other day to make banana chips and it occurred to me that this slicer might work. It worked great until I cut a chunk of banana that was just a bit too long for the slicing area and forced the lid down anyway. I ended up popping a wire (or in this case, it looks like the cutting bits might be nylon cords).I chalk this up to user error. I haven't had any problems while using it to slice eggs. I also didn't have any problems with reasonably sized pieces of bananas, but I can't recommend that sort of unauthorized guerrilla slicing. I'll probably end up getting an actual banana slicer thing in the future.

Holy Moly. Making egg salad is a lit easier. I used this slicer to make my egg salad. Ok, it's not life changing, but it saved me several minutes of chopping and dicing eggs. I just slice them with this crazy little chicken and continue. The slices break up while adding other ingredients. I actually like the slightly larger egg pieces. I am concerned however, because the small gauge wire may break if there's too much pressure or a hard piece of food in it. But I'll be extra careful to help it last longer. So far, several dozen eggs and counting...

This product broke the first day I used it. The wire stretched and was unusable after that. I have it in my kitchen window as a decoration. The package had the word toy on it. That is a good description for this product. I am a big Jole fan, I have several products from the company that I love, so this was a disappointment to me.

I bought the EggMan egg slicer after an unfortunate mishap, wherein I actually thought I could SLICE strawberries with it..I wouldn't recommend it.The item arrived before the end-date and is the EGGxact replacement fort the one I "disabled",..OK, broke.The thin metal wire inside is ONE piece threaded up-and-down around the pegs inside(you have to look inside)This design is NOT the best-but will suffice to slice through egs as indicated.Overall, I presume that most folks buy this more for the look than the function.Personally speaking as a Man, silly me to think a utilitarian egg-man slicer-would be made as well as, say an all metal slicer.HEAVY duty it's not..Useful, it is.The metal strings that slice are a bit weak. Once again, it seems to work fine for eggs, just don;t get any wild ideas about strawberries, though..

Love this egg slicer, couldn't be easier to use, clean, and store. It's adorable!
