A little sus, not not bad
The good: - The device makes no sound - The magnet pull is abysmally weak, so while it's nothing that you need to push/pull through, it still works - 2 AAA batteries - easy to replace - The notifications and alerts *generally* work reliably - It's relatively small. I feel it cold be smaller, but adding in the AAA battery compartment, it makes a bit of sense that it's not The bad: - Requires an app. Not necessarily obtained through third-party sites. I actually got the app first before the device. - Adding the device to the app is a bit painful. You'll likely need to do it twice (to familiarize yourself with the process the first time) unless your phone is setup to grant absolutely all permissions to everything immediately - Alerts work, but by default, it's the most obnoxious and urgent-sounding alarm... for a door being opened/closed/low battery. NOTE: This uses "alert notifications" not "notifications", so on glorious Android, this can be altered to your liking pretty easily so that you have a distinct, calmer, alert notification sound for this app - There's a flashing light. I understand that it needs to have some level of direct communication, and it's small enough to cover with tape or something, but still. When I get things that start beeping and flashing, my first goal is to prevent them from beeping or flashing The Ugly: - The app refuses to work unless you grant location permissions - PRECISE location permissions. This is apparently a one-time thing, as after setup, you can remove the permission. The app cries about it, but will continue to work. - You cannot connect this bluetooth/wifi device with only bluetooth. You need to give it (via the app) your wifi password. - Many features you'd expect, like alternate notifications outside the app cost additional money on a subscription basis. I'm fine with just the app notifications, personally. Get a notification forwarding app if this will bug you. - If you are looking into this product because you want to stay away from Tuya, I have some bad news for you. - Made in China

Easy to set up and working perfectly. Quck to respond when set up in an Alexa routine.
So far, working better than expected. I recently converted the lights in my basement to smart lights. This is a utility basement for laundry and storage. So, just a few overhead leds conected to one light socket where I added a smart socket. I found it to be a pain to remember to ask Alexa to turn the lights on before heading down there so I was looking for a solution. This door sensor is perfect. I have it on the basement door leading from by kitchen. When I open the door, by the time I get down 2 or 3 stairs, it has already turned the lights on for me. When I come up and close the door, it shuts the lights off. Setting it up was pretty simple. I think that's partly because the SmartLife app works very well and typically finds any new device. But it connected on my first attempt and so far hasn't given me any issues. Honestly, I was worried because it didn't need a hub and the price was very good compared to similar options. I'm very pleased with this.

Works as expected, but larger than anticipated
The title says it all. The device works exactly as intended. I had no trouble pairing it with the Smart Life app and has had great connectivity. My only complaint is that the device is much larger than I anticipated based on other contact sensors that I have.

Pay For The Product (Subscription, Not included or Listed)
I am a neurodivergent individual. And via my neurodivergence, I try to manage my issues as as well as as possible.. I am also a tech savvy individual., and use those skills to overcome some of my neurodivergence….. As such, I’ve used Alexa and other type of services to manage some of my shortcomings in life automating things that would be otherwise left to chance.. I have done many different things over the last two years to achieve this goal and masterfully control issues and create a perfectly functioning system….. To pursue this goal further I ordered this door sensor, which was said in the description that you could hook it up to a “Alexa System” and program a routine around the door being opened and closed It was a reasonable price good piece of components by the looks.. so I ordered it. I started setting it up and within two minutes of being in the application to set it up it would not let me pursue setting it up without a four dollar a month subscription fee to that company, providing the part in order to hook it up to my system.. (it said nothing about a service fee in addition to the purchase fee anywhere on the products page. It said nothing about not being able to hook it up without paying a subscription anywhere in the details. And feels very deceptive.) If they’re going to provide a product, they should have it listed that a subscription fee is needed, in the product description, in addition to payment for the part, this feels very deceptive and underhanded marketing scheme. If you’re looking for a door sensor, this is not the part. They are backhandedly getting people to buy the product without this closing that there is additional fees for maintaining the service. Look elsewhere for your sensor or some other solution Waste of time, bad marketing, It’s only 11 bucks but still *If the company is reading this review, relist your product with a notice stating that there is a subscription fee for the product*

A Simple Solution
I use this to monitor the comings and goings of an elderly family member who lives alone. The best things about this device are it works, it doesn't need a hub, it's inexpensive and it's easy to sync the device to the SmartLife app. It's a simple solution to monitor the door. On the app, you can choose to get the audio alarm and notification on your phone when the door opens and/or closes; there's no sound from the device itself. You also get a record of when the sensor is turned on (when the door opens) and turned off (when the door closes). The cons are you cannot independently adjust the alarm volume on your phone and you have to buy the services for SMS or Phone notification.

Reliable Wi-Fi Door Sensor with Flawless Performance After Setup
This Wi-Fi door sensor gets the job done and works flawlessly once you get it set up. Installation was straightforward and quick, but I found the setup process a bit confusing, mostly because the instructions were poorly written. A clearer manual or better-designed app would definitely improve the experience. That said, after navigating through the initial setup, the sensor has performed perfectly. It’s reliable and responsive, and I’ve had zero issues with Alexa integration. The door open announcements work seamlessly, which has been incredibly helpful for monitoring my elderly grandmother, who sometimes gets up in the middle of the night. Overall, this sensor is fully functional and dependable after you get it up and running. If the company improves the app and instructions, it would easily be a five-star product. Still, it’s a great purchase if you’re willing to spend a bit of extra time on the setup.

Does the job
I bought this for my Electric garage door, wanted something to let me know if I've accidentally left it open. I eventually worked out how to set the scenes to remind me every 20 minutes if it was still open, and the app will also tell you if it is currently open or closed. So, it does the job I bought it for. Edit: Seems to have problems connecting to wifi and giving false readings, but can't return it apparently. Edit: Sadly, not doing it's job! Despite being only 3 metres from my Router, looses it's WiFi connection, and had massive delays or no notifications. Passed return date, but no use to me.

Ottimo e con Wi-Fi
Perfetto per le mie esigenze. Facilmente programmabile tramite l’app Smart Life, riconosce subito il sensore senza difficoltà.

A dir poco vergognoso. Piu' che smart home siamo sul d umb home. Ottimo se siete degli stalkers e volete vedere cosa faccia la vostra ex. Per il resto, il sistema sembra a funziona. Inutilmente, ma funziona.
