A really nice piece of equipment with a powerful magnet and securing features. Good VFM.

Pretty sturdy
There's more good than there is bad about this. At ~£15 it's not bad compared to the premium brands. The only thing that lets it down in my opinion is the strength of the magnet, which is still easily strong enough to hold it firm enough to my table saw and resist the spring pressure of the dial gauge. Another improvement would have been to make the gauge mount parts captive to avoid fiddly setup. Overall, absolutely fit for purpose and decent value.

Wibbly wobbly and weak
What a pain in the posterior, the magnet is vey weak, the bars wont tighten properly letting the adjustment out. The turnbuckles are fiddly and the adjuster thingamajig is just so erratic, seriously i think i would be better off using the dials on the lathe than faffing around with this thing. But it does do what is says so it gets a star
