Thermos Stopper Pico de Mate Replacement Part For Stanley Classic Vacuum Insulated Wide Mouth Bottle Thermos (1, Black-Red) (1.1QT, 1.5QT, 2QT)

I bought this for use with yerba mate and this works perfectly for that purpose. Opening and closing the spout is easy enough and the spout swivels within the cap for directional aim and will stay put once you do. This is perfect for yerba mate consumption or likely any other task you may have for it. It is not designed for gas exchange so expect the occasional "burp" to let in or out air when pouring. The cap appears study and I expect several years of unfettered mate use to come. At this point, it is highly recommend for the right thermos. The cap appears durable and likely to aid the retention of temperature like the regular cap. The appearance matches the cap that came with the thermos with the exception of foldable spout. Highly recommended!

This stopper works exactly as I hoped for my Stanley bottle and has the gaucho-style design I wanted. It fits securely and keeps the bottle sealed without leaking during normal use. I use it for hot drinks and water, and the stopper handles both well. One important detail is that pressure builds quickly when the bottle is filled, leaving very little room at the top. During the first pour, the liquid can come out suddenly and land on your hand or the counter, so I serve slowly to keep things controlled. That is the stopper’s one small demand, and it is easy enough to accommodate. The mouth separates into two pieces, which makes cleaning simple, although I wash it by hand rather than putting it in the dishwasher. The threading is always easy to start, but it can occasionally take a little extra force to remove from the bottle. Overall, I find it excellent for my use and liked it enough to buy a blue one for our other bottle. Did I mention it is super sturdy? Well, it is.

Even though it's not listed on the product description, this Pico de Mate fits the 20 OZ Classic Legendary Bottle perfectly. No more spilling or having to have a napkin or paper towel to wipe the mess from the original lid. Great for in the car mate time.

First of all, this fits perfectly with my 1.1 qt thermo. The pour is not bad, but you have to use your muscles a little bit to open and close the spout. It’s almost like you need to spray some oil to loosen the up-and-down motion haha. What concerns me is the horrible, strong plastic chemical odor that appears when hot/warm steam comes into contact with it. When I put hot/warm water in, the steam touches the lid, and when you remove the lid, it has a plastic chemical smell from the steam warming it, which is really unpleasant and quite concerning. I like the idea of this stopper, but the chemical odor is disturbing. I tested it with both the original Stanley lid and this one, and the Stanley lid does not emit this noxious chemical odor, however this one does. I end up returning it. Everyone’s experience is different but the hot chemical smell it projects is concerning.

I know, I know. The description clearly states that these adapters are compatible with the Stanley Classic line of thermoses, but the word 'classic' can be quite ambiguous. I initially understood it to mean the traditional Stanley thermoses, which are indeed considered 'classic' in the industry. Yes, the description includes a few pictures showing which thermoses these adapters are compatible with. However, it fails to explicitly warn that these adapters are not compatible with the Master Series thermoses. Many other products on Amazon clearly describe and illustrate the products they are incompatible with, and this could easily be done for this product as well. This is unfortunate because the Master Series thermoses have double the insulation compared to the 'classic' thermoses. This means that if you could use these adapters on a Master Series thermos, you could enjoy your mate for 8 hours instead of just 4, without losing any heat 'beat'. That said, the biggest selling point for me was that these adapters are made with BPA-free materials. Although I have no way to verify this, I trust that the seller wouldn't claim it otherwise. Fortunately, I own three Stanley thermoses, and one of them is a 'classic'. In my video, you can see that these adapters do not fit on a Master Series thermos. In conclusion, I am very happy with these adapters. They pour water at the perfect angle, right into the yerba mate pocket I create when preparing my mate, without making a mess. This is a huge improvement over using a Stanley thermos without an adapter. To any entrepreneurs out there, consider this review a business opportunity to fill a gap in the marketplace. I use the classic Stanley thermos with this pico adapter, paired with a Breville Smart Kettle Luxe BKE845RVC Red Velvet Cake, and together they make the perfect mate machine! Thread is too big on this, it makes scratches on the bottle when you screw it in.
