Very warm light colour.
This Phillips light works ok and is well made, hence the 5 stars. Two things however you need to know. Firstly it is NOT a cool white light. It actually is a very warm colour in the lighting spectrum. Secondly, the fitted cable is far too short ( less than 12 inches long ) which means in the vast majority of cases, a waterproof junction will be required which could cost almost as much as the light. fortunately although I expected a much cooler light, the warmth of this one doesn't bother me.

There are 2 variants of this product when I ordered 8, 1 was different
The work fine, seem solid, have very very short cables, which dont seem easy to change, so assume you will be using some form of connector. Also the same products comes in 2 sizes, with 2 led layouts, and slightly different power ratings, so dont assume you will get a matching set.. Tho you would need extreme OCD to notice the difference as you walked up my drive.

Tiny but very bright
The media could not be loaded. So I ordered 4 and so far fitted 3 as it was dark, do need to get back up and swap round the bracket as it won't fold down any more than it does now.All in all tho these are well worth the money as I wanted the whole garden lighting up rear and side so can keep an eye on my dogs when there out on a night and for anything else needed to be done in the garden once it's got dark. Absolutely brilliant

Short flex. Warm light source.
More expensive than some. The housing seems solid. My last, (none branded), one failed after 8 years, so a good outing and probably only half the price. Let’s hope this Philips one last at least as long. Some points worth noting. The cable is ridiculously short. You will need either a junction box or weatherproof cable connector immediately alongside the light. If this irritates, then my advice would be to go for a cheaper none branded model, which in all probability, (check the product pictures), will have an interface you can unscrew and attach whatever length of cable you desire. This is what I did with my previous light, but this is not possible with the Philips as it has a one-piece moulded enclosure.Secondly; at 3000K, the light it emits is incredibly warm. If you want a sharp white light, go for the Philips 6500K model. The 3000K light source is like an old friendly 60 watt domestic bulb! Similar to an old porch light in warmth (but obviously with much better and further throw!) If you want something with a harder, sharper, whiter light, better suited to more industrial use, then this is not for you. However, if you want something with reasonable coverage to illuminate the outside of a domestic home, then this is a ‘friendly’ light source and could be a winner. Also remember, it’s only 10W, so cheap to run, but if you want to light up a large yard or area of hard standing, then you should look at a higher wattage.Finally. For those who have difficulty with measurements! This unit is small, (much smaller than the pictures would suggest). Think of a man’s clenched fist. It’s no bigger than that. This doesn’t detract from its functionality. It still has a reasonable spread of light, but it does emanate from quite a small point source. In summary. The flex length is a joke. The light source is very warm, (and clearly marked as such) and the unit looks neat and robust.
