Are these new colors, or just special edition packaging?

Just special edition packaging. While it does include the 2 new sets from 2022, all the other colors are the same as there has always been. It was every Mildliner color ever released except for Mild Copper as that was a USA only color.

Do the markers have the English color names on them or just the Japanese? I can't tell from any of the pictures.

because it was only a Japanese release, the markers all have Japanese writing. The only English is on the box. The individual marker boxes inside the luggage box also have the names in Japanese.

Is the 10 pack animal ones the same colors included in the 35 gift set?

Yes, the 35 pack includes all colors of the Mildliners (including the 2 sets released in 2022). The only missing color is Mild Copper because that was a USA release only.
