Move the furniture before playing
LOVE this album! I have to dance around the room when I play this (but not the actual dance routines from the film!). Such a happy, feel-good and mood uplifting soundtrack, and what a cast of great singers and musicians.

If you like the Blues Brothers film and
If you like the Blues Brothers film and, more especially you like the music ...this is the cd for you. Good, clear quality sound and everything you could wish for to sing along to your favorite tracks. The only down side is that John Lee Hooker singing Boom Boom doesn't feature, but then i suspect real blues fans will already have the track on his own "very best of" cd and other blues compilation albums. All the other main numbers from the film sound track are here on this single cd, which is worth buying for the wonderful Cab Calloway singing "Minnie the Moocher" anyway. So get it to stick in your car stereo and get rollin' rollin' rollin'.

Great CD - valid for autorip too so you can download it onto your other devices. Fantastic soundtrack - just a pity there's no John Lee Hooker in there! If you remember the film from the early '80s, this will take you right back there!

Wenn ein Film mit seinem Soundtrack untrennbar verbunden ist...
Hier kann man sich nun wirklich kurz fassen - denn wenn es einen Film gibt, welcher mit seinen Soundtrack nahezu untrennbar miteinander verbunden ist, dann dürfte es BLUES BROTHERS sein... dieser Film lebt nicht nur von der einzigartigen Chemie zwischen Jake und Elwood, sondern eben auch von der unsterblichen Musik. Ich erwarte keinen Widerspruch, wenn ich sage, dass in diesem Film die Musik eine weitere Hauptfigur ist. Insofern ist der Fall klar: wer BLUES BROTHERS liebt, kommt um diesen Soundtrack nur schwerlich herum, jeder Song ist ein Knaller und lässt die Stimmung des Kultfilms perfekt aufleben. Schade ist natürlich, dass eine ganze Menge Songs fehlen, die im Film neben den vom Ensemble dargebotenen Stücken zu hören sind, als Beispiel sei nur "Boom Boom" von John Lee Hooker oder "Let The Good Times Roll" genannt. Dennoch, ich komme hier nicht um eine Höchstnote herum - klare 5 Sterne.
