Arf Pets Microwavable Pet Heating Pad, Self Warming Cat Mat, Cozy Cover- Cushion is Included

Bought this heating pad for a stray kitty we have let live in our patio! She has her own little indoor house with blankets that weve gotten but it still gets pretty cold at night, and we knew a heating pad would give her comfort during the cold nights. her house is warmer when we feel it inside than outside, but a heating pad would make it better! We microwaved it for about 3 minutes 30 seconds and it wasnt super super hot, but it did keep warm in her little bed for atleast a few hours. Im thinking im gonna let it microwave for closer to 4 minutes 30 seconds so that its nice and hot and I can wrap it in all the blankets so that it gives her some more time with warmth. Lasted about 3 hours in 40 degree weather wrapped up so im hoping 4-5 hours tonight so shes nice and comfy. **UPDATE weve been warming it in the microwave for the 4 mins and 30 seconds now and we slide it inbetween the blankets and sheets we have inside her little house and its been keeping the warmth better! Shes currently cuddled up to it this cold morning and its starting to last closer to 6 hours now of heat in 40 degree weather. Now my family can sleep in peace knowing shes warm and comfortable in her little bed during the cold nights

I thought this item would be softer, but it is very firm so I put it under the pillow in her bed and it works wonderfully. The heat last for hours. I am very satisfied and my chihuahua loves the warmth.

This microwave heating pad is definitely different than another brand that I normally use. I have to get it burning hot or it doesn't seem to throw heat for any real length of time compared to another brand. That means I either have to reheat often or cover it well and uncover it as it cools so pets stay toasty. Not really practical in many situations. I find that it expands a lot in the microwave which scares me a bit. The heat doesn't last as long as my usual product. That said, I find it to be a handy product in a pinch. I would likely buy another but it would be my second choice in brands.

It says stays warm for up to 8 hours when heated as instructed. Barely even warm to touch right out of microwave when placed in the case. So fid not keep kittens warm at all. They would not use. Tried several times to see if they just needed to get use to it. Nope. Poor lil things still shook. Its rock hard so why would they like. Very disappointed. Really needed something other than running heater sll day

While this does heat up and could work for short duration (2-3 hours) I was disappointed because the other brands I have purchased last up to 8 hours or longer! FYI, these you can only microwave for 3 minutes before the device is ant its limit…and last maybe 3 hours. Many other brands are microwaved for up to 7 minutes and are warm for over 8 hours. I suggest looking for those.

These are great for outdoor cats during the cold months......stay warm for at least 7 hours.

I use them for sick and injured wildlife. I am a MS State Liscensened Wildlife Rehabilitator. we use our own money and rely on donations, and I love these for the softness, and warmth. When tiny squirrels, rabbits, birds, raccoon babies come in, they love to lay on the soft warm bed. I bought 3, but wish I could have afforded another 3. They are just great. If there is any way your company could donate some to the Ms Wildlife Rehab, and Rehabilitation, it would be great. I hope you keep these in, because if not, then I need to buy at least 3 more. Spring is getting close, and I am getting ready to start helping all of the babies that come in when the storms hit. Thank you, and I will try to order some more of these, because we can use as many as we can get. They are just perfect! Thank you!

You definitely get what you pay for. I decided to give these a try since they are so much cheaper than SnuggleSafe. These serve the same purpose but they do not stay warm as long. They will not last the entire night. Ok for quick trips where you need portable heat in a kennel.

There was absolutely no give to these whatsoever. My cats didn't like the feel of them even though I put them underneath fleece blankets. Return the product

We bought this for our new puppy’s kennel along with a “snuggle puppy” to help calm him at night and ease the transition to our home. The heating pad worked very well and gets warmer overtime after you remove it from the microwave. Surprisingly it was still slightly warm in the morning. My only request would be that they offered a smaller size as this is quite large (almost the size of a dinner plate and over a half inch thick when warm). We have a mini-dachshund who is only 3lbs now and will get to a max 10lbs and this barely fits in his tiny kennel. My daughter likes to use it and I will probably use it for myself as well.

I'd say 2 1/2 to 3 minutes in a 1000 watt microwave is best. Lasts for about 90 minutes warm and another hour tepid. Great for transport of small animals to/from animal hospitals and rehab rescues as I use it for. A tad better than a hot water bottle for the same purpose. I'll buy more for my other carriers...

They don't get warm enough for the cats to even notice. And the packaging states heating them for longer is dangerous. Useless product. Don't buy it.
