Structurally sound hardware. Was not usable for the project I purchased them for, but will actually work with another project I will be doing in the future.

These spring hinges not only did the job expected, but with class and quality build. Hinges are one of those things where you don't always quite know what sort of quality you'll get until you feel them in your hands. I bought these for a somewhat edge case purpose, which shouldn't be too surprising since these hinges that spring to a 90 degree angle are a bit unusual in and of themselves. Now I can't speak for all use cases, but I needed them to spring to a "close" (actually a 90 degree "open" position) to hold in a mounted Mac mini computer and prevent it from sliding out from an open-ended chassis mount. Worked perfectly! I ended up with a few extra left over which is nice, because this just seems like one of those edge case things you'd like to have a solution for at hand in your hardware toolbox. If there's any downside I imagine it might depend on how heavy duty of a spring action you need; my needs were light so take that into account when considering whether this is the right solution for your needs.
