Easier than a bore snake
when I saw a friend using this one day after trap shooting, I knew it was an item to buy. Like many, I used the bore snake, but it would kill my hands to pull through the barrels. The Real Avid takes that away. It's a lot quicker and easier to clean my shotgun barrel, it's small enough to fit into my cases and is very tough, but liteweight. With the ability to lock the cord into the base allows the leverage to easily pull the Bore Boss through the barrels without ending up with lines running through your hands! I was due for a new bore snake anyway, but after seeing this, I ordered it that night when I got home from shooting. Cleaning is now fast and easy. I can clean my barrels after shooting or when I get home thanks to the Real Avid Bore Boss.

Great tool for quick wipes out on the range!
I bought this after seeing my friend use one, seemed to make sense for me when you go to the range and just want a quick wipe before you start or between stations when practicing. No issues with durability, seems to behave the same way each time. Very quick and easy to use, fits the barrel snug but not too tight. When I saw it in action I thought it was cool that they make it with functionality in mind, providing a way to prevent dirt from flying around with the outer rubber shell when wrapped up when not in use, but then turn it into a handle for pulling to make it easier on your hands. I find I donโt have the armspan to get it done in one go, but wrapping the cord around my hand for a second pull usually is enough. The handle portion is best for getting it started, since it requires a fair bit of force.
