Drain Cleaning Machine

I bought 50 feet 3/8 inch unit exactly 2 years ago. Among all other size choices this is the only one owned and sold by Amazon, one of the two reasons I picked this option as Amazon offered me Amazon Monthly Payment as one of the many installments payment options. There is a simple 0 cost with Amazon Monthly Payment, a kind of no brainer. A big reason for me to give a five star is its actual test today. My house lot is plat. The sewage pipe coming out of the house into the septic tank does not have much slope so it becomes a common section to get clogged over time. I used to use a hand drill driven stationary drain cleaner and it did get the job done but in a very messy way. I had to use hands holding the cable to guide it and retract it manually. The cable got twisted easily. As a home owner I became a seasoned drain cleaner as I had to unclog the pipe quite regularly. I bought this machine in a hope to make the job easier. This morning I heard bubbling noise in my up stair toilet, a clear sign of trapped air in the sewage line. I put this machine in use. Without instruction manual (being sitting there for two years) I was able to figure out the operation by coming back to the Amazon page watching product videos. The result was amazingly easy and clean. I had my glovers on but I didn't have to touch the cable at all. The machine worked its way into the clogged pipe slowly and surely, unclogging the pipe in a matter of minutes. Rewinding the cable was easy without any touches to the cable. The job site is back to clean state. The handle on the front serves as a convenient clutch to change between forward and backward without stopping the motor. In terms of power and size, this machine is adequate to my single house with a 4 inch PVC pipe about 50 feet long. I am not aware of any difficulty moving it due to weight as it has two wheels with a pushing handle, easy to move around. As a home owner I am very happy with this machine.

We have a 100 yr old house and have had problems with our basement laundry room floor drain in our laundry room over the many years we've had the house. The laundry room floor drain connects directly to the main sewer line. Over the years, we've had to run a snake through the line on average of 2X per year when it starts to run slow. This last time it backed up, we used a 25ft power auger on it and it barely cleaned the line. Decided to purchase this one with the 75ft cable after watching some YouTube reviews. Easy assembly but very heavy unit. Ran all 75ft through the line a couple of time and it cleared the line lickety split. Drain now runs and works like new. Cost was well worth it and is saved me from having to hire a plumber. Paid for itself. I'm sure that I'll have to use it again somewhere down the road. So from here on out, it's just a simple matter of running it through the line. Of note, I did check out a similar unit at harbor Freight that was over $100.00 more than this one. This unit looks to be a little bit heavier built than the one at Harbor Freight and $100.00 less. If you have an old house like we do and periodically need to clear a line, I highly reccommend you purchase this.

Lower machine quality as expected for the price and did ok on a 3 inch 50ft run but the air switch stays on for a long time after you lift your foot and is definitely dangerous. The longer you hold it the longer it stays on after lifting foot. I have reached out about it and will update review accordingly.

Edit, I need to be more appreciative and less reactive. If it was not for this tool (and the other) I would not have got the job done. This tool did not perform as well as the other but I appreciate the price difference as every dollar counts in the budget. Thank you for the affordability of this product. The Vevor bound up several times while I was using it creating a very unsafe situation. Be ready to get off that power switch or it will wrap you up! Be careful using it. If you have hesitation with dangerous tools I'd recommend the other.

I purchased battery-operated drain snakes in the past, but the only reach 25 feet. This one is only twice the price of a battery-operated one. Plus you get the advantages of 50 foot reach and being able to choose different cutter heads to unblock and clear a 3 to 4 inch drain. A simple auger head may unblock a pipe by boring a hole thru the blockage, but then you have a 'slow' drain and the potential of future blockage. I really like the forward and reverse head that make this one easy to use AFTER you view the Youtube videos on how to operate it. Note that while it sound good to have a machine with a 100 foot reach, the motors on those may not have enough power to twist that distance.

I went all out and bought a 100' jetter, sewer snake, and sewer camera. I wanted to do my own sewer lateral and since I used to run all of these 3 things for a company figured these could make me a few bucks down the line. I'm a little more protective of my equipment and any time you rent something, you know how people treat that stuff. As a homeowner it don't pay to own all that equipment but I like to do stuff like that so who knows. We'll see where the road takes me. Tissue worked great, was plenty powerful enough to cut through roots and pull out what seemed to be about 20 wipes of some kind. Afterwards I ran the jetter through and it looked like a brand new line. All clean and decreased and ready for the next 10 years.

Not fit for use in a 3 or 4 inch drain., Not strong enough. After sale service was despicable. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Floor drain was 95% plugged for days..it took several hours to drain a laundry tub after a load of wash.. tried several drain cleaners..just made it 100% plugged..ordered unit yesterday and it arrived today..took ten minutes to assemble..very simple..and then 5 minutes to unclog drain!..I ordered the 3/8" as the last time the floor drain plugged the plumber couldn't make the turn with his snake..likely to large..took days for me to finally get it working..this is simple to use and worked perfectly..will pay for itself if I only use it twice..strongly recommend getting auto feed unit like this one over a manual feed..well worth the extra dollars in my non-professional opinion!
