I needed enough affordable, wide velcro to sew belly bands (male dog diapers) for our 16 year old chihuahua. This was a great purchase and I recommend this Velcro for both dog diapers and much more heavy duty uses.It’s strong and very sturdy, the perfect width and a lot of length to use for multiple projects. I’m really happy with the price. I feel it’s “forever” stuff, meaning it’s not going to fail or give out on you for the life of whatever you make. I would trust this for back pack or canvas bag closures, shoes, holding heavy objects, etc. I could have used a much weaker Velcro for my dog diaper project, but this was the best price.TO MAKE BELLY BANDS/ DOG DIAPERS: Use a sock or other material cut into a long rectangle, thick menstrual pads for replaceable liners, thread and a sharp sewing needle. Dull embroidery or darning needles won’t pierce this Velcro.Wrap the cloth with the pad attached around your dogs waist, covering his penis. You want it tight enough to not slide off his hips as he goes about his day. You can get the hang of what tightness is good for your dog by using safety pins instead of Velcro at first. Trust me when I say you’ll appreciate the ease of Velcro as an upgrade over safety pins when you’re ready.Make pen marks on the sock or material for where you will sew the Velcro. Cut the Velcro to size with scissors and sew. There is plenty of length for multiple diapers as well as more household projects later on with this product.

This sew on velcro is great! I give it a real work out as I replaced the velcro on my sacrum back belt that I wear all the time. It more than Meg my expectations.

This is good, basic black velcro and seems strong enough to use as described "sew on." The problem is that it is stiff and rough on the sides and edges, so it won't work for my sewing project because it would scratch sensitive skin. I'll save it for non-sewing and looking for a softer style for sewing.

This is non-adhesive velcro that is made for sewing on, so that shouldn't be included in the review.

I had it sawed on to secure the back pocket of my jeans so that my billfold does not keep on falling out. The Velco was actually the same color as my pants

I needed to make a extension for a dog item that had a Velcro closure. This worked perfect and now the dog doesn't feel like he is choking when wearing it. It was easy to sew together so would also be easy to so to material.
