Exo Terra Standard Faunarium Small

I got this to for my bearded dragon cockroaches. The container Is made so well. I was worried it would come damaged or it would be made from poor quality material but to my surprise it was made amazigly. The handle does have an yellow / very light orange tint and the lid is dark green. The container is like a light greyish colour but overall love this product.

A very good little enclosure, which we bought for rescuing and caring for stray little meeces or birdies, or for enabling us to take them to the Vet's. The plastic is not of the greatest strength, but hey ho, it doesn't need to be, and it's up to the user to use a bit of common sense when handling it. On ours, the little clear lid in the centre of the top is impossible to open from the outside without breaking either the lid or the case. It needs a bit of a modification, maybe removal of the little pegs stopping it opening. A weight on the top would then be OK if not to be transported, but otherwise, some sort of clip needs to be fixed properly to the gadget. Hmmmmm, need to put on my engineering cap. This is why I'm docking one star. I've seen someone mention the lid on their own is too easy to open, so I fear the manufacturing process is not consistent. However, all in all, this will be fine for our purposes.

I bought the Exo Terra Standard Faunarium (Medium, Black) for transporting and temporarily housing small reptiles/mammals, and overall, it's been a very handy enclosure. The size is great for small reptiles, insects, or amphibians, and it's super easy to clean. I love the top access door – it makes feeding and spot-cleaning really convenient. The faunarium is lightweight and stackable, which is a big plus if you have multiple animals. Ventilation is also good, and the handle makes it easy to carry around when needed. That said, the plastic isn’t the sturdiest – it feels a bit brittle, so I wouldn’t rely on it as a long-term home. Also, the lid doesn’t lock as tightly as I’d like, so I’d be cautious using it for animals that are strong or known escape artists. Overall, a great value for the price and perfect for transport, temporary housing, or quarantine setups. Just be mindful of the limitations.

Great value for money. It’s a lovely tank with good visibility. Sometimes the lids can be a bit wobbly but they are still secure. Perfect for my rescue snails. The mini one for some reason has huge holes in the lids- I needed to keep baby snails and I had to cello tape it up. There is also a small lip under the glass lid…. Be careful if I you have tiny little ones! Great tank and I’ll continue buying.

ooooookay lets be honest here i wouldn't put anything i like in this lol ! literally i bought it for feeder live food aka crickets and that's fine they have enough height abd air for a good life BUT no way would i put my tarantulas or a lizard in there's the top door is dodgy, there is fair venitarion but the box is very thin. and flimsy and id def buy somethign better from the spider shop which my two girls are in . also the vents if you have a hooked out male could catch their fangs etc if they're looking for ladies . yes clear, i'm not confident in how sturdy it would be for an animal i love .

Perfect Little Tank for what I needed it for (Ramshorn Snail Aquarium). DEFINITELY DO NOT USE THIS FOR HOUSING REPTILES. This would only be useful for temporary housing while cleaning or setting up a permanent enclosure for very small reptiles/amphibians/fish.

I really like this container. Top flap did break immediately, but doesn't affect using it for my purpose. Perfect size for keeping live mealworms in, Deep enough for a good amount of ground wheat for bedding, egg box for shade and 250g of worms. Top is a bit tight to get off, worried about breaking it, hopefully as opened more will get easier.

Nach einem Waldspaziergang haben wir eine Weinbergschnecke als vorübergehendes Haustier bei uns aufgenommen. Nach einer improvisierten Lösung habe ich schnell diese Terrarien bestellt. hiervon muss man mindestens zwei Stück bestellen, aber ich wollte kein Größeres bestellen müssen, also haben wir nun eben zwei. Die terrarien sind auch stapelbar und spannende Insekten gibt es ja doch einige, so wurde auch für das Zweite schnell ein Bewohner gefunden. Die Größe ist optimal für eine vorübergehende Beherbergung verschiedenster Kleinstlebewesen und Insekten ohne dabei zu klein zu sein und passt zudem auf jedes Fensterbrett und in jede Wohnung. Gewicht und Größe sind auch dank des Henkels für kleine Kinderhände super geeignet und ebenso praktisch für unterwegs, um auf die Suche nach Regenwürmern, Schnecken oder Käfern zu gehen und dadurch die Natur aktiv zu erkunden und zu erleben. Das Gestalten des Behältnisses mit Muscheln, Steinen, Stöckern und Blumenerde ein zusätzlicher Spaß für Kinder. Der Deckel lässt sich etwas schwer öffnen, hier braucht es ggf. Ab und an Hilfe durch die Eltern. Natürlich sollte das Terrarium zumindest wöchentlich gereinigt und regelmäßig befeuchtet werden (bei Schnecken) Das Terrarium ist nun das vorübergehende Zuhause unserer Schnecke und wir können täglich beobachten wie diese sich durch das Erdreich gräbt, Schutz zwischen Steinen sucht oder die salatblätter frisst und überall ihre Schleimspur hinterlässt (und auch andere Ausscheidungen :| ) Auch eine eine tolle und preiswerte Idee für den Kindergeburstag.
