HCSB Study Bible, Purple LeatherTouch Imitation Leather – September 1, 2015

It's a beautiful Bible, but you can't read it. The pages stick together so badly, that spending time in the Word with this Bible becomes more of a frustrating experience than a precious time with God. It's not conducive to Bible reading for that reason. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 since the Bible itself is a treasure, really beautiful with wonderful resources. Too bad it's pretty useless from a realistic point of view--you can't read a book, any kind of book, when the pages stick together and you have to struggle separating them.

I love the cover design, however the pages are sticking together and I have to turn each page carefully to un-stick them without a tear. As far as the contents, I love the study notes throughout as well as the introduction info at the beginning of each book. This is my first time reading the Holman Christian Standard Bible version, I grew up with NIV and then NKJV, and thus far I am in love with the ease of reading and understanding this translation. I do highly recommend this study bible for the inside content but I am reserved about the quality of the pages themselves or the glue used in binding. Four stars because to me the content is worth the purchase.

This Bible is very informative, but it will be months before I will be able to take it to Bible study and use it. The pages stick together TERRRIBLY. I have NEVER had a book where the pages stick together so badly. I think that this is very poor on the producer's part. It really kind of makes me angry that someone would encumber an individual's access to the word so terribly. There is no reason for it with today's technology. I would recommend the HCSB Bible, but definitely not this version. I have spent time fanning the pages, but they still stick. It is really bad.

Love the Bible enough to get one for my sister. Bible arrived, Amazon box was fine, Bible box was fine, Bible was damaged with hole INSIDE the back cover and map section. Someone boxed it damaged! Have to return and order another. Praying this one is not damaged.

This is the best bible translation I have ever read. It really helps anyone to better understand scripture.
