The installation guide is great. Just make sure you clean off the iPad thoroughly to prevent bubbles from lint. I had one TINY spot where there was a piece of lint but it’s so little I don’t even notice it anymore. I like the fact that it’s matte glass so I feel like it’s more protected but I’m not sure I would qualify it as feeling like I’m writing on paper. Good quality. I’m satisfied.

Disappointed with what I received, but more about that in a minute.The install process was perfect and easy to follow.As usual when installing a screen protector on my devices, the hardest part is preparing and cleaning the display surface to ensure there's no lint or dust before the install begins.Once I ensured that my iPad Air was free of any particulates I went ahead and removed the first clear cover and easily mounted the screen protector using the nice alignment frame built-in to the screen protector itself. Loved the entire experience.By the way, the video tutorial is NOT for this product. Don't mind getting online to watch the video. Just follow the included instructions booklet instead. It's honestly not too difficult.After the install, I pulled the stretchy red tab to release the screen protector from the alignment frame.Last couple of steps were ensuring there were no air bubbles between the display and the screen protector, in which I used the included black plastic spatula to take the bubbles out. Nice touch, that spatula!And the final step was removing the protective cover off the screen protector. Which finally revealed the matte finish of the screen protector... Sighs...This screen protector turned out to be a massive disappointment, because the main product title says nothing about anti-glare finish on this screen protector. Today, as I take a closer look at the product listing, I noticed one product image claiming this has an anti-glare finish. And the detailed description also mentions anti-glare, so that's on me for only trusting the product title and selecting this screen protector without paying close attention to the entire listing.I do not like anti-glare screen protectors because it alters the contrast and black levels of the display. You also lose a lot of image clarity and sharpness as everything now looks faded and cloudy. I really don't like that. I might remove this screen protector altogether because of that.I spent a long time researching, specifically comparing all listings from Hocents, and picked the screen protector that did not mention anti-glare in the main product title... There was one other listing for the iPad Air in which mentioned anti-glare on the product title (B0BL2B4PNG) so I did not pick that. I picked this (B0BB3CBP4Z) instead because the product title did not mention anti-glare...I don't understand why Hocents would have two listings for the same exact product. They both work for the iPad Air and they both have anti-glare finish...I you like an anti-glare screen protectors get this one or the other one, I guess it doesn't matter.Great product, super easy install, full of accessories, spatula, cleaning kit, guiding frame, to help you get the job done with minimum effort.

Update : got contacted by the company to fix the problem but I threw away the number they said was in the box so I can call and get a new one. They wouldn't give me the number so now I'm SOL. Definitely go with someone else for your protector.Old review: Idk if I got a bad one but it won't smooth out and this random air pocket won't let me smooth it out.. The last protector was fine.. Idk why this one isn't working.

This was a wonderful surprise! They’ve made the installation so much easier than any screen protector I’ve ever used. Voila! And No bubbles to squeegee out! The anti-glare property is a noticeable improvement. The feel of the glass is motivating me to get an Apple Pencil! This would be smooth, but not slippery to write on. Do not hesitate because it costs less money! It is a superior product.

This is supposed to be a competitor to the paper like screen protectors, and it does its job. It doesn’t really make the glare any better or worse than your bare screen. The installation was also super easy, which was awesome. I love the idea of the frame to apply it. The glass is a bit slipperier than I’d like but it’s all-in-all not bad.

I was intrigued by the installer that comes with this screen protector as I have put many on devices over the years and can never seem to line them up or get all the dust bubbles out. This was not an issue with this protector. While it wasn't as simple as the description implied, I was able to install the protector, line it up accurately, remove 4 or 5 pieces of dust, and end up with a smooth, bubble-free screen. The installer piece is not the most environmentally friendly thing as I threw it away, but it makes up for it by ensuring I don't need to use 3 or 4 protectors in an attempt to get a satisfactory installation.The feel of the screen is, indeed, silky smooth and quite different from the paper feel of my previous protector. This does not interfere with my writing experience using my Apple Pencil 2 and it provides a nicer visual experience when reviewing images or watching content. I also use a Brydge keyboard and sliding the iPad in and out of the keyboard holder does not cause the corners of the protector to lift up as it is perfectly aligned with the iPad's edges.I highly recommend this screen protector as it is dead simple to put on and does nothing to detract from the beauty or functionality of my iPad.
