A superb book for dinosaur lovers. It is subdivided into periods, also has maps of where fossils found and gives excellent details with bright and clear illustrations. not a book for the very young but certainly a book for mid primary school children upwards. I am sixty five and found it very informative. A brilliant light reference book

My 9 year old wanted a dinosaur book that didn't just feature the standard dinosaurs so I looked for a more adult book. This is perfect still a lot of pictures but full of fascinating facts, sub species and information about the periods. Perfect for any dino fan.

I bought this for my 10year old son to do a dinosaur project. It hasn't disappointed. Clearly laid out into different time periods. All dinosaurs easily classified. Absolutely full of information. If you are only going to buy one dinosaur fact book, this is the one to get!My 6 year old has also enjoyed reading it.

My son hasn’t stopped reading this he is dinosaur mad has asd and has read everything he can find on dinosaurs he was excited to get this book as he wants to be a Palaeontologist

Very informative, my son loves it and it has encouraged him to read. The only problem is I can’t pronounce most of the dinosaurs names!!

I have a dinosaur obsessed 7 year old boy. He loves to read this book to himself (loving dinosaurs has increased his reading age by a couple of years, this book can only help with that). He is already very knowledgeable about dinosaurs but the book managed to include information he hadn't come across before. A highly readable book for the youngster interested in dinosaurs.

Beautiful book (illustrations, quality, layout) but printed way too small, and for me, illegible. Quite a disappointment.

I bought it mainly as a reference guide for drawing prehistoric beasts, which is a hobby of mine. Not only are the images in the book very good (some of them are quite exquisite), but the book contains a lot of information about the species and the landscape, which provides some hours of good reading. Unfortunately, it contains no reference to the megafauna (mammals and giant terror birds) that emerged after the mass extinction of the dinosaurs. This is only available in an encyclopedia by the same author that I am looking forward to having after becoming familiar with this book of his. The only shortcoming of the book is the small size of the pages. If they were bigger, the effect of the illustrations would certainly be more impressive.

My 7 year old has not put this book down since it arrived and has already read the entire book about every dinosaur multiple times. There is a lot of information in this book and is organized very well. The book is not overly large (used to the hardcover versions he has) and the printing is fairly small, but if your child is a decent reader that should not be an issue. The pictures of each dinosaur and well done, and it is very descriptive.
