Audio-Technica VMN50SH Replacement Stylus Shibata, Black

This is my second so it must be good. Not cheap but they do last a while. This on has played approximately 500 LPs to date. (a late review) Really clear and detailed sound. That fact is a good thing but if your LP is a bit dodgy the stylus will show it. When this is worn out I may try a different one in the range. A few to choose from all fitting the same cartridge. By the way, the picture is accurate, it is brown, not black as stated.

Nice upgrade compared to the stock Exact cartridge that was on my Rega P6. Easy enough to self fit.

Started off with AT vmn30en & initially got the vnm40ml as an upgrade. While I found it much more detailed it was a bit too bright on some albums. The vmn50sh I find has all that increase in detail (if not more) but without any of that brightness. The bass is strong tight & well defined with excellent mid & upper ends. Expensive but definitely worth it
