ResMed Swift FX Nasal Pillow Replacement Cushion - Large

This is an exact replacement for the swift fx nasil pillow that wore out after several years. I built my own headgear using resmed swift fx replacement parts as it was cheaper than getting the "prescription" refilled from a CPAP supplier. The equipment lasts a lot longer than the prescription interval so it is possible to cut costs by buying only what needs replacement. The new nasil pillow allows a better seal and more comfortable uninterrupted sleep intervals. Your milage may vary as I don't use heated or moisturized air so my tubing and associated parts don't wear out due to bacterial growth.

Fits exactly as intended. Very satisfactory

The nose pillow is small in size. But it is large in performance. It usually takes minor adjustments for proper positioning when putting it on. But it stays in position better than larger choices. The majority of nights, I have zero leakage. The majority of times while sleeping on my back, it needs no additional nighttime adjustments. And while sleeping or repositioning to my side. It may take a few nighttime minor night time adjustments. It is different in that the pressure may flare out the sides of your nose in use. Personally for me this is not an issue. And I use a high pressure setting. When you first get it, don’t be scared to tinker around with positioning until it fits nicely. When first using it, it may make the inside rim of your nostrils a little sensitive. But after a couple weeks, the inside rims seem to stiffen enough, so that the there is no sensitivity issues. It’s called a nose pillow because where it contacts the bottom of your nose, the air pressure creates a cushioning affect, which creates a soft contact point. This is my personal favorite.

I've been using the Swift FX for several years now. It's not as comfortable as the P-10, but it is more secure on the head and I much prefer having the hose swivel of the Swift FX. Also, the straps last longer. The nasal pillow of the Swift FX is very comfortable. I am on a very tight budget, and I've found the nasal pillows will last much longer between replacement that ResMed recommends. Just keep them clean, but do so without using cotton swabs every time since using them too often makes the thinly spaced silicone of the nose cones stretch out of shape.

WAY too expensive for a replacement of this silicone "nose pillows" attachment.
