Milwaukee 48-22-0012 Compact Hack Saw 10-Inch,Red Black

I brought this for my wooden panels, I had to make some cuts, in tight spaces to make panels fit around light switches and wall sockets. Purchased additional blades (TPI 32) for cutting copper pipes. blades that are simple to replace and sturdy. A percussion cut is possible since there is less friction when utilising. Everybody ought to have this in their toolbox. I considered it good value for the money for an exclusive brand.

Top notch bit of kit. Solid frame, very comfy in the hand and a quality blade. Things I like: Very comfy. Solid build quality. Secure clamp. Quality blade (24tpi, which I found a good choice for most things). Designed for one-handed use, which is extremely convenient. Size is ideal to fit in a tool bag. Now available from Amazon UK (shipping from the US no longer required). Things I don't like: Not much! Any replacement 300mm blade will fit, but I'd prefer it if Milwaukee made 250mm blades easier to source. However, Starrett 250mm blades can be found on Amazon and are outstanding quality: Starrett KBS1018-10 Bi-Metal Unique High Speed Steel Safe-Flex Hacksaw Frame Blade, 0.025" Thick, 18 TPI, 10" Length x 1/2" Width (Pack of 10) In summary, this is an extremely convenient and well-built hacksaw.

Handy little hacksaw. Gets in to tight spots and the handle and locking mechanism feels solid, sturdy and well built.

Very happy with it - if used properly it is sturdy. The handle is comfy. Blade fixing is good and works well, just remember to sit blade between washer and frame. And - cutting teeth face forward

It's what you would expect from Milwaukee! This is the best blade holder,of this type, that I have owned. Worth the money!

Slightly more expensive than other makes. But you pay for quality and this is quality.

This hacksaw feels well made and has a handy feature of extending the blade. However in reality this is more of a gimmick as extending the blade will just lead to the blade bending eventually. The blade itself is sharp enough. In all honesty, much better off going for a junior hacksaw and a separate larger hacksaw. I thought this would bridge the gap between the two, as I don’t often need a full sized hacksaw being a mainly domestic electrician, but unfortunately just didn’t work as I had hoped.

I ordered the one in the picture but I received the folding type instead and so far I’m glad that happened because it’s been absolutely awesome, as a plumber I need a saw that’s compact and versatile and razor sharp for a multitude of tasks and it excels , the handle is a perfect fit and non slip, the blade has so far cut through everything I’ve used it on, I can’t rate this saw highly enough and urge anyone needing this kind of saw to just buy one and use it, you won’t be disappointed 😉

My plastic Stanley broke after many years. This works so much better, the grip is wonderful, and it is extremely sturdy and easy to use. It is an excellent value for the money and very versatile.

This tool looks and feel fantastic. comfort grib to avoid any soreness in your hand(s) like some other hands saws including an old one i had lying around i disliked. comes with a limited lifetime warranty and fits most hacksaw blades and the locking latch is a simple open and close.
