The key couldn't be cut by the mom and pop shop lock smith so I had to pay a little more at $80. However the key works great after programming it to the car. All functions work and i needed it as a second key to program a remote start.

Locksmith won’t cut the key. Programming is hundreds of dollars. Bought thinking could get it cut by a place that cuts keys and they won’t do it. It’s useless unless you pay several hundred dollars to program it. Not a viable backup or any savings which was the point in buying it

Ordered these keys Lowes, Home Depot, and ace hardware cannot cut these keys. Went to a local locksmith to get them cut from my original key here in the Midwest that cost me $50 per key. I have an. Autel mk808 car code, reader, and scanner. It’s a really good programmer that I’ve used hundreds of times on any computer car issues works great. I have programmed other keys with it also for friends and family. I can program the keys I bought from Amazon to start the car but the Ford focus security system will not recognize the lock and unlock and trunk release buttons. I have never had this problem with any other key that I have programmed. Pass on these items and spend the extra money and get a more reliable key That you can program all the functions

It is easily programmable but I wish it were already carved but that might just be my own problem.
