The CoolTec shavers from Braun are just fine and once upon a time were a clear winner in terms of value vs the Series 9 (I own both) in that it may be 'only' 90% as good a shave, but at less than 40% of the price, it was a no brainer. Plus, the cooling bit actually cooled. And what nerd doesn't like a gadgetty gimmick?! Time have changed and the prices are closer, but still.... The replacement head works and the shaver does a good job.

Worth the money
Very nearly bought a new shaver but couldn't decide which one so decided to try replacement head for mine. Its now like a new shaver, cuts really close and although the price seems expensive, it has saved me alot of money on the price i was going to pay for a complete new one

Worked as advertised. Maybe replace yearly rather than every 18 months IMHO. I use the electric daily and after a year, the blades are fairly dull.
