400ml Universal Metallic Spray Paint - Pure Gold

And was nearly put off by the review below, however since there was nothing else like it I thought I'd give it a shot. I honestly don't know what the bad review was about, unless they had a faulty can? I was spray painting a couple of 'Moroccan/Indian' open candle lamps gold since I had a gold/purple theme in my bedroom. They were small, but I needed to get inside of the large openings to spray the inside. Couldn't use anything but spray because they had fine detail etched into them. Did find the fact that you could hold the can upside-down extremely helpful in this respect, as it meant I got the majority of the covering of the lamps done in every coating. It took about 4-5 coats to turn them completely gold, but the spray dried quickly and I got it done in a couple of days (Put them outside in the warm on a dust sheet). I had absolutely no issues with paint dripping from the nozzle, nor any paint dripping on the lamps, they looked really good when I'd finished. I followed the instructions and didn't get too close, and sprayed light coats, and several of them. Should mention I only used it on my candle lamps because they had open tops and no heat would rise directly to any of the paint, which the can did mention wouldn't be a good idea. Would use this product again, I really loved it.

Brilliant wear a mask and gloves

Excellent spray paint. Must be used with an undercoat/primer. Needed 2 cans to cover a garden chair in gold, which maybe due to my technique?! Wear a thick mask, spray paint stinks to high heaven!

I used this spray to change silver frames to gold. Really lovely colour- gold can look cheap and tacky but this colour is perfect. Not too brassy or bright. It has got an ever so slight shimmer to it, however it’s not “sparkly” and means the colour doesn’t look too flat. It was easy to use and I didn’t need a primer. Spray gave a nice even coverage, with no drips. Only needed 2/3 coats. Extremely impressed and would recommend!

Fantastic product and the colour exactly what it was described. Bought the pure gold and applied it to the wardrobe handles and they are looks beautiful. Had to apply at least 2-3 coats for better finishing. Have to wait at least 8 hours for fully dry if you apply on metal. Now waiting for the black colour to use for the different metal.

If I could give it zero stars I would! I had two cans of this paint left over from a job a contractor did for me, so decided to use what was left to paint the middle section of a radiator cover I recently bought. The half used can did a nice job of the two side panels, but ran out before I could paint the centre panels. No problem, I thought, as I had another can. Unfortunately I was unable to get the can to work at all, and as I had had the can for a while and no idea where it was purchased from, so therefore was unable to exchange it, decided to order another from Amazon on Monday night, which I thought was due to be delivered on Tuesday, but later realised it would be Wednesday - my mistake. As I was out on Tuesday and anxious to get the job finished, I decided to call into my local B & Q store and pick up a can, thinking I would send the Amazon can back if I didn't need it. However, when I tried the can I purchased from B & Q it leaked everywhere - my hands, clothes, floor, and left blobs of paint on the radiator cover. I immediately cleaned the paint off the radiator cover with brush cleaner and decided to wait for the Amazon delivery to come. To my horror and frustration, exactly the same thing happened with the can from Amazon, although I did persevere and managed to get a layer of paint on the radiator cover, but not before having to remove the paint a couple more times, leading to a somewhat uneven finish, which I am not happy with, but short of removing the paint from all the radiator panels and starting again with another product, I don't know what else I can do. I'm afraid I dont have the time, will, or patience to start again. This paint is not fit for purpose and should not be on sale ANYWHERE. I don't know how I'm meant to return the cans to the relevant sellers as they are leaking so badly. One very dissatisfied and furious customer.

First one ordered broke second was great so think they are a little temperamental. Nice colour gold fkat finish but flecks of metallic. Smooth finish quite fast drying used on grab rails outside and added a nice finish to them
