Global Datebooks Dated Middle School or High School Student Planner for Academic Year 2023-2024 Includes Ruler/Bookmark and Planning Stickers (Block Style - 8.5"x11" - Deep Blue Marble)

I got this planner for my 8th grader, to help her stay organized for her Honors classes this year. I thought this planner was organized by day, with multiple sections for multiple class periods. I must have mixed it up with a different one, because it's organized by week, and has a single section for each day. Granted, the sections are very generously sized, but it's not what we were looking for.It's still a very well-designed planner, and we decided to keep it based on the resource pages included in the front, and to serve as a backup if something happens to the second planner I ordered. I would recommend it if there are only two or three classes per day that need to be tracked, or if you need to keep track of appointments. It's very well made, with a nice sturdy cover, good quality pages that won't tear easily, and a plastic snap-in bookmark to keep your place. Really, except for the fact that it simply didn't have enough space to track all seven of the classes my daughter needed it for, this would have been a wonderful option for her.

My middle school student spent all last year learning how to effectively utilize a planner only to have them not be provided in middle school. *eyeroll* This item was just what she wanted and needed. The 7 days view, with already completed dates, & 1/2 size of a regular notebook is working really well for her. I wish the layouts were filterable in Amazon but that’s not this company’s fault. Will buy again next year!!!

PROS+ Useful, detachable ruler serves as a bookmark+ Tips for using a planner, setting goals, testing etc. This is great for TEACHING students how to plan and/or kickstart the year properly.+ Basic tips & information/references for English, Geography, Math, Science, and Social Studies serves as a quick guide+ Weeks are easy to follow, with just about enough space for tasks yet keeping all days in 2 pages and keeping planner at a manageable size (5" x 8.5").+ spiral is big enough to fit a pen, but it will get in the way when you open the planner+ small stickers at the very back for specific tasks. I didn't find much use for them, but its nice to haveCONS- bookmark is relatively hard to attach and detach (but only done once a week)- Only 1 page for notes, which gets lost with all that initial info- Month overviews are at the beginning and almost guaranteed that you will not see those again (should be done between week overviews IMHO). Monthly goals also get lost- All the extra information at the beginning makes it hard to navigate to things like the month overviews or previous weeks. **I easily fixed this by using a small binder clip to hold all those pages together!! I used this planner as a teacher because it is intended for the academic year. I found most of the extras useless, but I can see how these could be useful for students. My planner ended up messy and beat up, but it survived a water spill plus constant use and movement. The spiral was sturdier than expected

I bought my middle schooler this planner to help him to keep track of projects, tests and programs throughout the year. It is sturdy and big enough to write in. Whether it gets used is another story.One can only provide the tools, and with support, he might find it useful.

The pages are thick and the cover is not only beautifully designed but a durable plastic that has a sheen to it. This is great to get your kids into staying organized for school and their activities. It has so much included as well. Great buy!

I got a few different designs of these for the students at school and so many were happy they didn't have to buy one over the summer for next school year! They told me it has enough room for them to write down all the important stuff happening each day at school.
