I bought these for a gift. They look lovely; however, the box they come in looks like something you’d find in the pound store (with Made in China in nice big letters on the front.) There’s no way I’d give this gift in the supplied box so I had to re-wrap them (they’re ceramic and quite heavy so needed to be properly re-packaged to avoid chipping or breakage). I hope the (lack of) quality of the box doesn’t reflect the quality of the product.

I used this to place coffee portafilter on after removing from machine. If I knock out the puck then, I get splattered. Theses are perfect for resting the portafilter until next needed.

We have several other kitchen pieces that are similar in color, with the blue reactive glaze. We have tried other spoon rests, but this one beats the other for functionality. It’s bigger than others, wide enough for a spoon and tongs if you’ve got several things going on the stove. No fussy curve/arch or “bowl” that doesn’t really fit a variety of utensils that we use. Attractive, durable, easy to clean, and blends with our other kitchen accessories. Great value when considering that you get two in the set.
