Another excellent knife from Cold Steel! The Stockman arrangement of three blades is just about the most versatile no frills down to it pocket carry choice there is. This classic knife is in no way meant as an intimidating weapon. Rather, it is a highly satisfying functional tool meant to be kept in easy reach. It deserves to be mentioned it is as large a pocket folder as I personally would drop into my pocket as part of my pocket’s daily inventory. Seeing this knife when it arrived, it is not the more petite sized item I was expecting. This is one seriously cool knife. I found the size it is to be far more doable for me as I examined it out of its packaging. I note here the packaging was incredibly well done too. It came to me in pristine condition. It arrived sharp with a very smooth blade opening & that excellent Cold Steel fit & finish! I really, really like this knife! Although this is in no way a minimalist or micro pocket carry, it is sized to be carried on you while providing a handle size that gives control far more assuring than a smaller, thinner pen knife ever would. The contour of its handle shape, in addition to that attractive fit & finish, I am thrilled about this knife’s presence being in my easy reach. The yellow bone scales are extremely classy in a well stated shade that looks very appealing. I think the satisfying grip of this knife makes it perfect for immediate cutting or slicing duties on the fly. This is a mature classic that deserves consideration for whomever is looking for a very decent & desirable drop it in your pocket & go knife. It is equally doable as just stowing it in a go bag as long as remembering it’s there begging to be used & remember to remove it before one might fly with said bag! Giving this Cold Steel blade less than a five star rating is undeserved. There is nothing cheap or subpar with this fantastic Stockman! This is truly a find that would make a great gift. I have great admiration for Cold Steel knives owning a few. This knife is another hit with me. It is a convenience & practical blessing to have a handy reliable cutting tool with me basically all the time. All the better that this particular tool provides a collection of three specific blades providing an excellent inventory to pick & deploy the one for the task at hand. At its $30.00-ish price point, it’s a lot of knife for the dollars invested. Getting it on sale during the Amazon Spring Deals was even sweeter! Regardless, full price is generous for what you get! This Cold Steel pocket folder is quickly becoming a comfort of simplicity to have along with me throughout the day. It is enthusiastically easy to thumbs up this one sweet blade platform. I can only anticipating this handsome folder will age well. As shining new as it is, it was built & bought to be used. I not only recommend this knife as a great daily carry option, but I encourage that you use it as needed as it was built to be used, which is often! I hope this helps the buying decision. Excellent knife. Quality materials and craftsmanship, with great fit, finish and grind. Came sharp and ready to cut. Burnt yellow scales are good looking. Better knife than Case brand. I would definitely purchase again. Great value for the money.

Seems to be a well made 3 blade knife that they choose to call a gentleman’ knife, but is commonly known as a sowbelly stockman. The bolsters are well filled and not over polished so the pivot rivet shows through. The three blades (clip, spey and sheeps foot’ are nicely polished stainless steel with a match strike nail knick and having with good snap from the back springs, but they do not “walk and talk” with the characteristic pause when opening and closing as they pass the 90 degree point suggesting extra care should be used when opening and closing. The main blade is etched with the brand name rather than tang stamped. The brown jigged bone scales are nicely colored, with no cracking at the retaining rivets and the back spring rivet, and are evenly color matched side to side. All in all a very nice knife, nicely finished, less expensive than typical USA brands, but probably at the upper end of the price point for similarly well made knives sourced from China. It seems to be a good value from a well known brand.

Liners and scales are misaligned leaving hot spots. Pins stick out so far they catch on things.

This is made by rough rider, but with improved steel. Excellent fit and finish. This is. the brown jigged bone not the blue pictured which I preferred.

Great product for edc. It's just a great slip joint!

Scales were cracked around the pins. Returned.
