Boston Single Bed Frame (3ft) Black

This is not exactly the most hard wearing bed. You can just about lie on it, but the first time I sat on it, the plywood slats inverted and popped right out, dropping me on the floor! This is certainly not a bed built for anything other than gingerly lying on it and sleeping peacefully. One bad dream and I think I might end up plummeting again. It takes very little weight. even pressing on the slats pops them out like an umbrella in a storm. I think the idea is that they arch to take more of the weight with less material, but even with the central metal cross beam, there's still either too much play in the frame (which I've bolted in TIGHT) or else the slats just aren't up to the job. Maybe another beam right up the middle longways would give it enough strength, but right now this is very flimsy, and once one slat pops, all the others go too, like a set of dominos.Apart from the weakness of the frame, it was well packaged, easy to put together, and it does look nice, but I think it needs some modification to be practically useful as a bed.

Really good for the money!

At the price, this is a bargain. It is sturdy, well made and looks good. It was easy to assemble, although I had an issue with two of the holes which appeared to be on the wrong of the crossbars, but I overcome this by using smaller bolts from the bed I was replacing. It is possible however, that I misunderstood the assembly instructions, but this was not an issue anyway. The slats looked a bit frail, but actually they are not, they do the job they are intended for ie keep the mattress on the bed. A five star bargain and will be ordering another one over the coming weeks.Summary - Ivory bed looks good. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble and very cheap for what you get in my opinion.
