Works with my model of Chromebook and Ipad
I'm able to print from my 2020 Acer Chromebook 311 Spin and 2021 IPad. I installed Canon Print Business in both but the Chromebook doesn't use it so I deleted it. I installed Mopria instead. When I want to print from the Chromebook I open the item I want to print, click on the print button, click on more options, click on the printer. Printing is super fast. I was printing off 30 pages of the same flyer and they flew out of the printer faster than I could catch it. Lesson: Pull out the paper holder first.Like all the other reviews I read the little window is hard to read. I used a flashlight to set it up. Now that the printer is in place and there's plenty of light I can see the window just fine.Set up was easy.I was not able to connect it to my HP Chromebook which is over 10 years old. Old enough that it stopped getting updates last year. I wasn't planning on printing anything from it but wanted to see if it could if I wanted to.So, yes, it connects to Chromebook but not every Chromebook. My IPhone has airprint so I assume I can print from that too, if I wanted to.

Does what I need it to do!
Wireless connectivity is 5 stars. Quality of prints is 5 stars. Power save feature can it slow to awaken resulting in some pront jobs being buffered. I am pleased.

Unbox Upon Receipt
I screwed up. I waited until our window replacement work was complete and things were back in order to get the printer out of its box - just outside of the 30-day window - and I've discovered the printer is a dud.The DetailsAfter unboxing, the printer powered up. But after updating a startup setting that required a printer restart, the new printer wouldn't power up. I spent hours searching for a possible cause related to the setting change. Nothing.Having tried all sorts of things - including a hard reset - I gave up.Hours later and without prompting it sprung to life. I have idea how or why.I did manage to get it connected to the wireless network and even test print something, so I was hopeful. Maybe I hadn't wasted time/money.I left it on as I grabbed dinner. The next time I saw it, it had powered off. "It's just an energy saving thing. It'll be fine tomorrow," I convinced myself. And for a brief moment in time, it was fine. The next morning, it powered on. I thought maybe I needed to update the firmware. And so I started to process of updating the firmware. Whether or not it actually updated, I have no idea, because it hasn't powered up again since.Of course, now I'm trying to register the device on the Canon USA website.Except when trying to register, I hit a snag: "The serial number entered indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S."Imagine my surprise. So I double- and triple-checked the information on the back of the printer and compared it to Canon's helpful little image showing where to find the S/N and what the alphanumerics should be.Nope. It looks like I have the correct number. But just in case, let's find some other help. Let's check the Canon Community forum!Register.Get the "verification" email.Hit the link.Go back to the Canon Community forum and be greeted with: "You must first register product before you can ask someone (how to register your product".Great.-Got through to Canon customer service. I'm suitably impressed. A new printer is being sent tomorrow with overnight delivery, and I just have to use that box to send it back. I'm hoping the replacement works. Fingers crossed. Will update when it arrives.

Good Basic Single Print Function Laser Printer
I bought this Canon monochrome laser printer on Prime Day deal for $89 which I thought was a good bargain. I am a IT professional so it was easy for me to setup on the network quickly. I setup the printer on the network using the not so user friendly small LCD panel which by the way is hard to read so I used my iPhone flash light. I did not use the CD provided with the printer to install the print driver, instead I downloaded the driver from the Canon internet site. The download and installation was quick and easy. The toner cartridge is full unlike most other printers where the toner cartridge supplied with the unit is 1/2 full. I printed a few pages from my PC and iPhone and it prints fast with decent print quality. The printer has the option to print on both sides. This is a basic single print function Printer which is what I wanted. The size is compact and it easily fits in the space under the table. The only wire I have connected to the printer is the power cable because the printer is wireless and I am able to access it from PC, Laptop and Smartphone.I got tired of buying expensive inkjet cartridges frequently because they dry up if you don't print regularly. With laser printer you don't have to worry about this problem because the toner never dries.I will definitely recommend this printer if you are looking for a compact, basic Single Print function monochrome laser printer.
