10 Minute Solution - Rapid Results Pilates [DVD]

It’s very good
This was a very clearly guided dvd and is much harder work than you might think.Seven weeks ago I had an accident and broke my right foot and my wrist. My concern went way beyond my injuries. I’d been used to doing gym classes 3 or 4 times a week and lots of walking. Surely with no exercise and a very inactive lifestyle I’d gain weight and lose fitness? But where there’s a will there’s a way. I discovered I was getting stronger on my left side just by lifting myself in and out of my wheelchair. And so this became my exercise (along with eating very carefully). After 9 days I got a boot fitted for my leg rather than the heavy cast and I decided to start doing workouts. Obviously I was limited. No jumping, no weights and nothing that put weight in my right arm (still in a cast to the elbow). So I got out my Pilates dvds - all 10 minute solutions - and got to work. I discovered I could do most core workouts as they were mainly mat based. And then I found I could do the excellent leg workout. Then I found I could do the stretch section and most of the arm and shoulders workout. (By using weights in my left hand or holding two weights with both hands). I found the workouts very good - and effective. And they made me slightly rethink my ‘high impact is best’, idea. My body shape has been changing and with each week I can do more. I lost my arm cast 10 days ago - ahead of schedule. And lost the boot too - again ahead of schedule. So I was doing something right. I’m looking forward to being able to do every bit of this dvd with no limitations. But it’s a great workout. It’s not easy but it’s possible to do and get a very good stretch. Very good tuition and time flies when you do it.

Really enjoyable
I do not usually buy fitness DVDs but I wanted to give Pilates a go without having to find classes to go to or join a gym. I only just got the DVD and I did a few of the workouts. Firstly ouch, I have not stretched my muscles like that ever but I feel really good afterwards and not in pain. I think by doing the slim and sleek stretch segment afterwards really helped me not feel the pain when I was finished.Lara is really good, really clear in what she is doing and encourages you but not in an annoying way which is what has put me off DVDs before. I have sat and watched the DVD through just so I can understand it first then attempt each segment. You need plenty of room as you are doing a lot of stretching of legs and arms, you will need some light hand weights for some of the exercises and a mat or a carpeted floor but that is it!The exercise is simple but very effective and challenging if you have not attempted Pilates before but I can see it as something I will use a few times a week and depending how I feel I might want to progress but at the moment it is challenging enough for me!I did a lot of looking at other Pilates DVDs but I am really pleased I chose this one and I hope that I am as fit and bendy as Lara after a few more workouts!!

Fantastic Introduction For Beginers
I had never done pilates before I bought this DVD. I thought that Pilates was for people who were already in good shape and just wanted more definition to their shape. I was so wrong! This is a fantastic introduction to Pilates. I have been using it for a little over 2 wks and I am amased with results. i have lost 2 dress sizes and am more toned that I have ever been. I have a defined waist, a flat stomach and shoulders and arms that will not be getting covered up this summer! Because the results are obvious after the first couple off times using it, it spurs you on, and you want to keep doing it. Some of the moves are difficult at first but the adrenalin rush you get when you can copy her moves exactly is fantastic.I have now bought a few other Pilates Dvd's, but I seem to always come back to this!

Challenging for a beginner
Just tried this DVD for the first time and can definitely feel myself aching, which is good!Leg and arm parts are great and easy to follow ( though you need enough space to span your arms full length, and your legs too) but the stretching and full body sections are very challenging, not least because when you get into position as she tells you to you can't look up at the TV to follow the movement. I ended up just sitting on the floor watching at some points because by the time I had looked up after getting into position she had started the second rep.I think when you get to know the moves and transitions it will be a good workout, but it is difficult to follow if you don't know Pilates moves by name since you are often looking at the floor or to the side when the instructor moves through positions.

Brilliant
This pilates dvd is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone. When I started working out with this pilates dvd a few months ago I thought there was no way I could do any of the moves but I was wrong. For the first few days I was very sore, which is a good thing as I truly beleive in no pain no gain. Now I do the pilates dvd about four times a week for half an hour and I don't even think twice about what I'm doing. The moves can be picked up very quickly.I recommend the waist slimmer, buns and thighs and body blast sections. I noticed my body toning up within a couple of weeks, especially by stomach and if I do say so myself I now don't look like I have had two children as my stomach is now more toned than it was before I had kids.I have tried a lot of different excercise dvd's and also different excercise but I have never got the results that I have gotten with this 10 minute solution rapid results pilates dvd. My husband has also commented on the results which is great to hear.One word of advice is that when you first start the excercises and you haven't done pilates before, keep going. You might find it difficult at first but it will definately get a lot easier if you stick to it and the results are worth it.

Just a mat, a couple of light hand weights and motivation is all you need
While it is challenging but not so hard that you feel that with time, and practice, the exercises would be out of reach.

Tough workout
I have owned this dvd since college, about 6 years. Not only is it a great muscle workout, but because it is separated into 10 minute sections, it takes away the excuse that you don't have enough time to work out on any given day. I started out doing 3 sections from this dvd every other day, alternating with cardio and got in the best shape of my life. It was no doubt due to the fact that it was something I did consistently, as opposed to other things I've tried, like P90x, that are easy to drop once you miss a day or two.I would even suggest just doing the ab workout once a day in conjunction with whatever your other exercise is. I've also tried this method, and it flattened and tightened my stomach in a few weeks of doing it every day.Even doing one section will leave you sweating and your muscles with that "worked" feeling. There are five, ten minute sections in this dvd-upper body, lower body, abs, total body, and stretch (not in that order persay). The sections allow you to mix and match based on what time you have and keep you from getting bored.I wouldn't recommend doing ONLY this dvd to try and get in shape/maintain shape, because it has no cardio element. However, it's best to do cardio and muscle training on alternate days in order to give muscles a rest and a chance to repair and build, so it's perfect to use in conjunction with a cardio dvd/activity.I'm just starting to lose the weight I've gained since college (lost 12 pounds in 6 months so far biking,hiking and using Fat Burning Kickboxing Workout for Dummies and The FIRM: Cardio Overdrive videos) and am ordering a new copy of this dvd (since my old one is scratched to death) to flatten up my stomach quickly, which, believe me, goes a long way in making you feel fit.

Faut dire que je suis américaine donc j'arrive à comprendre ce qu'elle dit (tout étant en anglais) J'ai trois dvd de 10 minute solution. En general j'en fait 3 séances de 10 minutes par jour. Je vois vraiment la difference. Je recommande.
