How do you hook it to intternet

Seeking same.. there is no Settings for WiFi I can find, no info settings and their is no Access Point being broadcasted. The website indicated in the manual is in disrepair with Videos removed from YouTube. The map upgrades have a description of skycams...

i want to know if i can just sit it on the dashboard without it falling off.

Probably not, unless you have a glass smooth, probably plastic, area that the suction cup will adhere too. In my case I used double sticky tap to put a smooth piece of plastic in the area I wanted the GPS. It has been working well for a couple of months. Love the unit by the way. Better then the old Garmin that I had.

Does it receive signal from Satellite or ground signal transmit tower? Does it work in yellow stone park?

Of course, the device has a built-in GPS signal chip, so it can be used without data traffic.

How can I get offroad maps such as forest roads?

Return it and get a new one would be your best bet like a whole new brand cuz this thing is garbage
