Moves a good amount of water.
Works great at moving water away from foundation. Fixable hose with an option to add on more length for further water diversion.

Works Great!
I bought these right before hurricane Helene because I just spent $3500 on a parking pad made of crushed concrete number 57 around the back Of my porch side of my house. My downspouts on each side of my porch were a concern about washing my new rocks away even though they're packed down because of the hurricane. I live 40 miles from Cedar Key as the crow flies so I'm not right on the water but We get lots of wind and rain during hurricanes. When I was reading the reviews on these and the questions, I saw that some people had a hard time connecting the hose and at first, I thought it wasn't going to screw on right. I went back and looked at the Instructions, and they went right on easily. I dug down in my rocks a little bit to get the pans under my downspouts and pulled one hose straight across the rocks and the other out to the side away from them. I put the end of the hoses on the little water channels that were under the downspouts And put a brick on top of the tube to hold it in place and I put a brick a few inches in front of the opening of the tube in the channel to help keep water erosion from happening on my yard by slowing down the water. I also Secured the hoses down with lawn ornament wire Stuck in the ground over them just to make sure they didn't go flying back-and-forth in the hurricane. I evacuated and came Back five days later and everything was Right where I left it And my rocks weren't washed away where the water would've been spewing out of the gutter going across them with Hurricane rain and wind. I also didn't have a water erosion problem because I put a block in front of the Hose as mentioned earlier. These are good for me for the purpose I bought them for. Money well spent.

Great product, bad connection design
First let me say that the product does the job it is supposed to do and draw water away from your house. Like other reviews have mentioned, trying to connect the basin to the hose can be very frustrating, so you need a little patience with it. The design is not that great to begin with. The concept is great that the product does what it supposed to do since I installed it a couple weeks ago. It definitely dried up the area around my house so I can't complain about that. I am giving this product 4 stars only because of the connection issues, otherwise it is an easy and cheap way to get water away from your house from drainage pipes.

It works
I wanted to extend the rain gutter drainage away from the home on the Southeast corner. The local hardware stores carry four inch corrugated pipe. 4" would be overkill for gutter drainage. This product worked well. A little digging and positioning seated the catch basin under the concrete diversion form. The output is about a foot below the foundation level eighteen to twenty feet away. I'm planning to purchase two more units for the West side of the house. The drawback I see so far is the opening will allow leaves and debris to get into the catch basin and eventually clog the drainpipe. I might put a replaceable screen over the drain opening to alleviate this. Maybe the company should add one.
