ASICS Women's Gt-2000 4 running Shoe

I'm still breaking them in, but so far so good. My feet ache a bit after a few hours but that is more a function of my old shoes being worn out than these new ones. The support is great, they feel solid. My heels did slip a bit at first (I wear lined socks recommended by the REI for my hiking boots - WrightSock DLX, so no blisters or even hotspots) but the shoes have softened slightly and now contour my heels perfectly. I've worn ASICS for years and they fit my feet and give me the support I need. I have swapped out the bright turquoise laces for black ones, but that's just me. I don't need neon feet!

These shoes in B width fit perfectly with my 2A size foot so I would say they are a bit narrow. I always order the B width now and have been very pleased with the fit. I also order one half size longer because I like a "thumbs width" room in the toe area of the shoe. You Will Not Need after market insoles. I have used the Sol insoles with these shoes, however, I find that the insoles that are packaged with the shoes support my high arch perfectly. Adding the Sol insoles raised my foot and the shoes became a bit too tight across the top of the foot. I use these shoes for walking on asphalt streets and sand trails in Florida. Great stability, support, lightweight, comfort and durability make this stability shoe a perfect fit.

I normally wear an 8.5 wide shoe, but after reading reviews about this shoe running small, I decided to purchase an 8.5 x-wide and I'm glad I did. The length was fine, but if I had not gone with x-wide the width would have been too snug. I purchased this shoe because I tend to pronate and I was having some issues with my old shoes rubbing blisters on the outer edge of my foot. I wore them out of the box for a 2 mile walk and had no rubbing on that part of my foot. I had a little bit of rubbing on the tops of my toe, but I think this was due to the shoe not being completely broken in and while it was a little uncomfortable it was not too severe. I think I will be very pleased with these shoes once they are broken in.

I was a little nervous about these shoes because they were very stiff when I first opened them and tried them on. They seem to have loosened up (but not too much) after wearing them for a few days. I originally picked these shoes because I have flat feet/overpronate, and Asics has this model listed as meant for overpronators. I can feel the arch support in them, and so far it's been pretty comfortable without being too much. I've only been wearing the shoes for a few weeks now, but I wear them all day long. I work in a research lab and tend to be on my feet a lot, and these have done well for comfort. I'm a pretty consistent size 6.5 in shoes, and these fit as expected and similar to an older pair of Asics that I have. And I have to admit I really do like the color of these ones. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase!

As someone who is always on the go and loves being active, I needed a shoe that could form to my feet as well as being comfortable to wear all day. I have bought shoes before that the arches were not as supportive as they were in the beginning and I would get shin splints within two weeks of the purchase. HOWEVER, when I came across the ASICS GT-1000 4 running shoe, it was a match made in heaven. I wear these shoes almost every day and I wear them all day. I never want to take them off. I automatically found a difference between my previous sneakers and these. The heavy duty structure of the shoes makes running on hard surfaces such as a treadmill and on concrete so easy and comfortable. The cushioning and the rubber sole absorb the shock when your feet make contact with the surface. I have had NO SHIN SPLINTS since I purchased these sneakers a few months ago and they are still in great condition. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing these sneakers if you are very active or just want a comfortable shoe to wear on the go. Definitely worth the buy!

I got these and the GT-1000 5 to try on. These were first and I loved the colors but immediately the shoe felt more snug than I was used to. I had ordered a half size up and would have expected more room. After walking a few laps around my house, I felt that my little toes were hanging over the side of the shoe and rubbing. I liked that the top of the shoe was a very stretchy fabric that allowed room for my toes as I wiggled them up and down. No rubbing there. I also felt like there wasn't much arch support for my overpronating and low arched foot. So back they go. The GT-1000 5 fit like a dream though!

I have been through so many uncomfortable shoes lately. Shoes that give me blisters. Shoes that aggravate a foot issue I have. Shoes that wear out really, really quickly. It was irritating. I had a pair of these before, so I thought I would give them a try. Why was I buying other shoes? These shoes are so comfortable. I mostly wear them to walk the dogs each day (about three miles) and putzing around and they are really comfortable. They have some cushion (not too much though) and nice support in arch but also for the boot in general. I have wider feet and asics also work well. I bought the same size as I have in other Asics and they fit well. Only downside is I wish better colors were available. Oh, I did switch out the laces for something not so pink. Whoa... the pink was something.

These have been the most comfortable workout shoes I've purchased to date. I have flat feet and bunions that give me trouble so my feet hurt constantly. These shoes gave excellent support and a "spring" in my step so my feet don't get as tired or hurt after working out or wearing them for extended times. The arch support is firm but has just the right amount of give so they are super comfortable in the middle of my foot. My only complaint was mostly because of my bunions. The front of my foot is wide and these were a little snug at first until I loosened the laces. Once I did that they got perfectly. I could have also gotten a wide width, but they usually prove to be too wide in the heel area. TL;DR: these are super comfy for flat feet or people with other foot problems to walk, run or work out with extended wear.

My 4th pair of this shoe. Nothing better for walking and comfort - plus STYLE !!!! Love them. Go 1/2 size up from your shoe size.
