MORryde SP56-469 Safe-T-Rail

First off, I installed this on a meal corrugated siding trailer, despite the manufacturer recommendation that it only be installed on flat sides. It did not create any issue and mounted up just fine. Instead of the small dabs of silicone to seal the screws, I used butyl tape along the entire backing bar and upper mount plate. This ensures there is no place for debris to get stuck between my siding and handle as well as keeping the screws water tight. I am not sure if I would trust my full weight on this unit if falling, the leverage would likely pull the screws just as it would on my other trailer mount handrail (vs stair mount), but it is more than enough to steady oneself on the stairs entering or exiting the trailer. As an older couple my wife and I really appreciate this extra peace of mind and stability!

We Love This MORryde Safe-T-Rail. This Handrail is heavy Duty and we'll made, this Handrail sits flush against the camper when folded on, we own a Ford Lightning and hope this Handrail helps with the range where it does not stick out like the old Handrail did. We replaced the Standard Handrail that comes on 99% of all RV's, this MORryde Safe-T-Rail is only on 1% of all RV's, but it's so much safer to exit in and out of our camper without moving, unlike the standard Handrail, if you grab it it moves back and forth and the foam tends to wear out by grabbing it near the top it will start to tear off. We love how the MORryde Safe-T-Rail starts at the top so when your stepping out of the camper you have a Handrail all the way from the top to the bottom to hold on to. This Handrail is easy to install just remove the old Handrail Silicone the old holes in then mount the MORryde Safe-T-Rail over the old holes drill the holes and mount the handrail, if the holes to old handrail at top are uncovered use the longer exstenion piece to cover it. The install only takes about 30 min to install and we'll worth the money.

I installed this product on my 2023 Grand Design Reflection 320MKS fifth wheel camper. It is a sturdy hand rail and being that it extends farther out from the camper, it gives you a hand hold from the first step all the way up into the camper. I’m getting old and this is a welcome addition. Installation was fairly easy. I do all my own mechanic work and am pretty handy. The instructions for this install are not clear and concise. I watched YouTube install videos to get a better idea of the chain of events for installation. The install is fairly straightforward and taking your time will give you a better fit and finish. The most difficult step in my particular installation was cutting a piece of trim to accommodate the increased overall length of this hand rail. I used a battery powered flush cut tool and received a very nice fit and finish there. Using the handrail is easy and provides a very secure hand hold. My only complaint and this is probably more related to layout of my Reflection is I cannot just walk up and open the RV door. The door handle on my Reflection is about 7 feet off the ground so with the ladder extended as well as the hand rail, I cannot just walk up and open the door. I have to step up one step on the ladder to do so. This is a little thing that is inconvenient for me and not a design or install issue. Overall, I love this modification and would highly recommend it for older RVers or travelers with small children.

I’m soooo glad I got this!! It’s very simple to use. Shortly after it was installed, it saved me from falling to the ground. It held my full weight with one hand. I slipped on our camper stair. I turned my ankle, yes, but didn’t fall. It’s worth the expense for me!!

I bought this handrail to replace the factory one on our 5th wheel. My wife had issues using the original one and she actually fell because she couldn’t grab it in time. The installation was pretty easy, just make sure you caulk the screw holes, old and new. We’ve used it for 6+ months now and it’s great. I love that it actually goes the whole length of the stairs and seems pretty sturdy (especially considering how wobbly the original handle was). I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a safer and sturdier hand rail.
