I bought this after reading reviews of various blank books. I’d been using Moleskine notebooks and the reviews suggested these had much better paper and were nicer to use, for a lot less money. The paper is heavier and smoother than the Moleskine notebooks. The covers come in a wider range of colors. However, after using this notebook, I’ll probably never buy this brand again. These notebooks only come in soft cover for the larger sizes, and you can’t fit much writing in the smaller hardcover notebooks. But even worse is the paper itself. I prefer ballpoint pens despite trying every kind of pen available, and this paper is not great with ballpoint. The ink blots constantly, so you end up with big inky splotches or you carry a cloth or tissue to wipe the point after every few words. Gel pens do somewhat better, but I’m not loving the behavior of those on this paper either. I understand why some people might prefer these, but I find them completely unsatisfying to work with.

Nice notebooks. I use them for writing. I already used several, and they are just pleasant to use.

I'm usually a true blue moleskine fan, and I bought this journal (and other colors of the same) due to budget reasons. So glad I did! I couldn't be happier. I was amazed at the quality of paper, and the smoothness and similarity to the moleskine brand. This is my number one go-to for journals from now on! Love the color choices and reasonable price.

I’ve been sketching in it for a couple days. Only a few sketches, but it’s very nice to draw on. The paper is nice with any of my mediums I use. Markers, pens and pencils of all sorts. It feels like it will be fine with anything I throw at it. I also really like the pocket.
