Fresh Ginger Root / Adrak - 1lb

All the ginger roots I've received were nice and healthy and plump. Better than what you see in the grocery store. Very happy with the orders.

Who knew you could order fresh ginger online? I was skeptical because of shipping conditions, etc., but this is great quality ginger. It has a different outside texture than the ginger I find at the grocery store, smoother with a slight sheen to it, but the flavor is the same or better. Because it wasn't refrigerated (and was probably freshly harvested) I can leave it on my counter for weeks at a time and it is still viable instead of having to stick it in the refrigerator or freezer. And you get a lot of it, 4-6 nice sized roots per order. I think it even costs less than buying it at the store.

I waited some time for these to arrive as I had purchased them before and they had been delicious and nice healthy pieces. When 2nd batch arrived they were horrible and I had to throw them out. They were definitely rotten. Smelly and shriveled. I hate to see when this happens.

I absolutely loved getting my ginger. It was so fresh and a joy to process. I made simple syrup. I use it as an additive in my cappuccino and as ginger tea. I will order again from this company.

Okay product but many were wilted and soft so unless you can use this quantity, go to your local supermarket. If it is all good, here is a little trick I learned. Cut up ginger and put in mason jar and fill with white wine. When you need ginger, remove the amount you need plus you can use the now flavored ginger wine for cooking but replace wine used.

I am very pleased with the ginger I received. It sprouted quickly and looks very vigorous.
