Poor design.
This is simple idea just 'piggy-backing' a second fuse off the original, the unit is designed to 'cut off' the power to the Dash Cam after a short delay once the car's ignition is turned off. However, if trying to fit it to a Ford Focus (2013) off the cigarette lighter supply fuse, (rather than risk any power failure on more important systems) it doesn't fit because of a wiring socket on the cars fuse board catches the 'piggy-back' socket and prevents you pushing it all the way into the connection. So your only choice is to choose another (alternative) supply fuse to fit it. Obviously this may not be a problem with other makes of car and I'm guessing other hard wire kits will have the same issue if you try to use the cigarette lighter fuse on a Ford Focus (2013), it's worth noting the power supply to the cigarette lighter on the Focus already goes off after a delay once the ignition is turned off.
