Does this work on 100% polyester? I need to secure a badge and sewing isn't an option.

Look at part of this previous review on Amazon..(I was very dissatisfied with the results on a pair of thin polyester pants. The dry glue showed through the fabric and the hem looks rather stiff instead of soft and flowing. In some spots the glue didn't hold at all). I think your answer is there.. However you could try some on a small patch where it won't be seen to try it out....Otherwise it is an excellent fabric glue

Can I use this to glue velco strips on to a tapestry?

I would think so but watch out for the glue to seep through the tapestry - a strong double edge tape would be a better solution.
