Pre de Provence Soap on a Rope Shea Butter Enriched French Bar Soap, 200g, Sage

My husband showers with a cane in one hand, so this solves that problem very nicely! Wonderful scent, one he's always loved!

Pros: Soap-on-a-rope Yayyy!!! Fairly large bar and the rope was definitely necessary when using. It felt very comfortable to hold even with my larger hands. I tested this and it lasted for about 2 straight weeks in the shower as a full body bar. I washed everything from head to toe with this bar. It has a pretty good lather and leaves skin feeling squeaky clean. It doesn't seem to have any moisturiser in it so don't expect to have that silky smooth feeling that other bars give. It drys out well when hung and I recommend doing that to give your soap more longevity. I have sensitive skin and the bar didn't have an effect on me at all YMMV. Overall it is a good size and lasted a little longer than I thought it would. Cons: Towards the end of the second week the rope was sticking out and was pretty sharp. Not a huge issue just something to be aware of. It's NOT triple milled as you may think and it shows. A bar this size when used in the shower usually lasts me a month. This one only took two weeks to expend. If you use less soap than me then you may get it to last a little longer. Other customers complained of the smell. Yes, this soap stinks right out of the box BUT I left it in a closet for a few months before using and it smelled a lot less intense. After using in the shower most of the smell wears off. If smell is a concern than you may want to avoid this soap. Also, this bar seems a bit pricy for what you get. Verdict: Would I buy it again? As a lover of exotic triple milled soaps and soap-on-a-rope, maybe. But it's hard to justify the price even with the rope and all. If it was a few dollars cheaper or triple milled, for sure, I'd buy it all the time. But as it is now I doubt I'll get more than one or two more bars.

This soap has a wonderful scent to it and it stays on your skin. I recommend it highly.

This soap is pricey. But, you are getting a good deal anyway. The bar is surprisingly heavy and should last a very long time. The scent is natural and pleasant... and we have an herb garden with real lavender to compare it to. This was purchased because my wife fell and broke her wrist. Everything must be done with one hand while it heals. With the rope, she can shower without dropping the bar and hang it on a hook in the shower stall. It is safer for her to use than a plain bar.

Love this soap. First, being on a rope no longer d my toes no longer suffer from falling soap bar. Second it is an excellent soap. I will reorder.

This soap leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. It does not leave the kind of residue that so many commercially produced soaps do, but, rather, leaves me with a dry feeling as if I have removed the previous day's sweat and dirt and am ready for the new day. The scent is pleasant but not overbearing which I like, lingering only a short while. It is also less costly than its more expensive competitors--yet as good--and one cake lasts a remarkably long time. And did I mention the rope? Never again will I shower with a soap that isn’t attached to a rope. As an old guy, the rope is as much a matter of safety as it is convenience.

I discovered this delightful soap at OFF 5th and fell in love with the scent. This one that I purchased from Amazon does not smell like anything.

Love Pre de Provence soaps especially the No.63 line of men's products but who tf is going to pay these gouging prices. Some are priced over $40 for one bar of soap...like come on, it's absolutely ridiculous when I used to pay maybe $9 at most for their large soaps. Now they have all at the very least doubled in price, some have quadrupled. Absolutely disgusting how they are price gouging people, shame on them and their distributors on here!!!

Love the lavender scent not to over powering. The rope is a good length fit easily on my wrist.
