I bought a “zero gravity chair” with heating pads built into the cushions. For some reason it uses a built in usb-a male plug as its only input, when a standard usb-a or usb-c cable seems a more sensible choice. It eats up battery charge quickly, so I bought this to power the heating pads directly from my surge strip. It works flawlessly, my low back and butt are toasty warm as I write this. It’s a good length for my purposes, and the female end fits the male plug from the chair securely. It seems like it will last a long time, as it is in a mostly static position and otherwise has no moving parts. Who cares how it looks? It looks like are cord, not particularly prettier or uglier than any other.

Works great! Appears to be very durable, will work well with my laptop backpack to extend my regular USB A cords. Works as expected.

Good build quality! This was perfect for replacing the USB cable of my SOLO backpack that has a battery pocket.

Using this to extend the USB port on the back of one of my TVs that is difficult to access and is 'finicky' when inserting, so I'm just leaving this gizmo in place on the back of the TV permanently. The male end is indeed a bit odd. The 'white bar' that you would expect to see inside of it, well it's not in there anywhere that I can see. (Despite what the picture here displays.) Also I think of the "trident USB" symbol typically indicating the "up" side. On this gizmo, on the male end, it's on the "down" side. (Despite what some of the pictures here display.) The male side does fit OK, I would not describe it as "loose," but it's not very snug either. So I can see why others are describing it as "loose." The female end, as others here say, it's pretty durn snug when I put a USB flash drive in it. If this was being used to constantly insert and remove on the female end, the snugness would be bothersome. For now, the gizmo IS working without issue, the connection works correctly. All of this surprises me a bit since I have used C2G as one of my preferred cable suppliers going back maybe about 15 years (back when it was called CablesToGo). But C2G was bought up a while back by another company (LeGrand) and that company operates C2G as one of its house brands, so that may explain it. If I had it to do again, I would pay a bit more and source one of these from another of my preferred suppliers. But at $3, it's not worth the trouble to return it and source/purchase another one. If this one fails or gives me trouble down-the-road, at just "$3 in," I will trash it and find something else from another supplier.

This product, although a short, seemingly simple USB cable product offers more than meets the eye. All USB cables, regardless of their length, are definitely not all the same - - so don't shop just for price. Actually this cable is one I carefully selected before purchase as I was soon to learn that some of the differences in the USB cables that I previously bought on Amazon had to be returned for lack of performance. For me, besides the importance of the quality of the USB connectors on either end of the cable, the most important feature must be the cable's ability to transfer data - - not just simple text files but more robust music and video files. In this modern age, data files reign supreme in judging the quality of any form of transfer movement, from one place to another, through a cable at some point. This goes as well for automobile applications that require this extra cabling capability to move these data-like files along the cable's inner metal wire conductors - - such as music/audio files. I found this out the hard way as evidenced by some of the cables I've had to return for lack of the type of data support I've described here-in. Being an audiophile-type gadget geek - - with a home theater and separate central hi-fi system in my home, I've used some of this seller's Amazon-sold products before - - always with excellent results. I trust this vendor and would never hesitate to order/re-order products from his extensive line of audio accessory equipment...therefore it's a full 5 stars for this product experience.

This thing is clutch. Using it mainly for soft modding my Xbox 360. My model only has 3 usb ports and I prefer usb controllers. My flash drive is simply too wide to fit in the back usb a port so this cord allows that AND protects the lifespan of the main usb port on my beloved console. This is absolutely worth every penny.
