volantexrc RC Plane, 4CH Remote Control Airplane for Beginners & Adults

I am an experienced RC pilot with over 65 planes since I started 10 years or so ago. Recently went to college and moved into a dorm and couldn't bring any of my big planes with me. However, I bought this little guy, and I'm glad I did. It flies well; the gyros work amazingly, having flown it in 25mph steady winds. Mine came with two batteries and 3 props (Ordered the FW-190; I'll add pictures to this review at a later time.) and with both batteries on the 3-bladed prop, I got about 35~45 minutes of flight at half throttle, which is insane! Its extremely durable (the controller is NOT DURABLE AT ALL) and handles crashes well. No tip stall to either side on both beginner and expert modes. The rudder has great control response, as does the elevator, even with such small amounts of travel. Ive suggested these little planes to a few of my newfound friends, and even those with zero experience are getting very good at flying them. Couldn't recommend them enough. Id buy them only on Amazon though, as if something does go wrong, you can return it unlike sites like Alibaba, where I see these sold for cheaper. But in the 5 that were purchased (one by me, the rest by friends), we've all had great experiences. All of us have different models. They do behave differently, with the Corsair being very unhappy at slow speeds, the P-51 doing well at low speeds but having some stall issues, and the Spitfire model being an all-around great aircraft with the eliptical wing. All of us get similar flight times in similar flight conditions, with the longest-running two being the Spit and Mustang lasting the same. The P-40 flew really well but didn't like the wind as much, and the slowest was the Zero. It still flew nicely, however. Definitely buy this whether your a young kid looking to get into the hobby and toss a little foamie around your little league field or an older guy looking for something cheap and small to toss and boss at the club field! 10/10 will buy one again. More than likely the entire rest of the lineup!

These are great starter planes. Easy to fly and durable. Controls have 3 difficulty settings. We have 3 now and the boys love them. We have had to replace some batteries.

This is ready to fly straight out if the box. It was easy to assemble. The package included all accessories and hardware shown in the advertisement photo. It did arrive with several propellers. Three and two blade propellers. I flew it in beginner mode. It was very stable with little to no wind. I switched it to intermediate and I was able to fly it smoothly. Expert mode is not stable. And to switch it from expert to beginner isn’t easy to do in my case. The plane landed on very low and slow speeds while making its landing approach. The propeller pops right off and back on as long as it doesn’t break. It is 400mm size. Definitely fun for my age group. It is in the hangar bay with the other Volantexrc I own. Great details and an easy flyer for beginners.

The plane’s gyro system is outstanding. This is the 3rd Volantexrc 4ch RC plane I’ve purchased. They are an absolute joy to fly and easy to control with 3 selection modes on the remote. Basically in beginner mode it will only let you bank left/right so far before the gyro kicks in and keeps the airplane in a stable turn. In expert mode, the gyro doesn’t stop the bank or rolling action. The two previous planes I’ve purchased were the p-51 variants, again outstanding. So why the 4-stars, because the first plane FW190 I received, which was a gift for Christmas, was obviously a return that had been crashed and even missing one of the propellers. There was damage to the wings that looked as if someone tried to repair it and there was obviously damage to the nose, and as mentioned, the propeller which came attached on the previous models I purchased, was missing on this aircraft. It was a little upsetting to watch my son look at a damage used plane on Christmas morning. I contacted Amazon for a replacement. I don’t know if getting the used/broken plane was on Amazon or EXHOBBY, but I’d love to know how it happened. See the pictures of how it looked when I took it out of the box. I also rated it 4 stars because the new one I received, the one I’m leaving the review for, looks as if the tail section is slightly twisted to the left. The horizontal and vertical stabilizer portions of the aircraft body to be exact, not the control surfaces (elevator/rudder). The plane is completely new, so this is more of a manufacturing issue. I haven’t had a chance to fly it yet, but if It doesn’t fly straight in expert mode, I’ll be exchanging it as well. In short, as long as you don’t get a used, damaged or defective plane, this is an awesome toy that is a load of fun for kids and adults. As I mentioned previously, the 2 P-51’s I’ve ordered in the past were perfect, no issues.

The P-40 Warhawk is so much fun for both me and my 11 y/o son. It has proven to be quite durable over a dozen flights (some ended in trees), and not a mark on it. The breakaway propeller is a great feature. Definitely a great beginner plane to learn basic flight controls.

First, this is a great little plane that will get up and go. The problem is with the propellers. They break very easily. No propellers = no flying. Very disappointing.

I’m having lots of fun flying this little plane. Yes it is kinda small, the plane is about one foot square when looking down at it. A four channel plane, ailerons, elevator, rudder, and throttle controls for an aircraft this small is unusual. Then add a gyro to make it stable and easier to fly. Then add a stunt button, since the gyro is trying to stabilize the plane the stunt button makes it possible to still enjoy some loops and rolls. Even though it is cheating, it’s still very cool. I’m flying at the local school yard which is a soccer size field. This is enough, but a larger field is better, especially for beginners. All of my landings have pretty much been crash landings. Since I’m landing on grass, the wheels don’t roll, the grass just grabs the landing gear and the plane does a forward flip and lands upside down. I do bring it in as slow and low as I can and just cut the power when it touches down. No problem, this plane is so light, it doesn’t hurt with this kind of landing. No damage so far, after about a dozen flights, I’m still using the original propeller, which has popped off a couple of times on some rougher landings. The kit I bought came with two batteries and I’m getting about 15 to 20 minutes of flying from each battery for a total of 40 minutes of flying time. In addition this plane looks cool and much like the real P-51 and it’s a great value for what you get. Nothing bad to say about this kit, only a comment that it is small and it is light so best to fly with no wind or low wind. All said it’s a great little plane for so many reasons and at a great price. Pick one of these planes from this war bird series, buy it and go have some fun.

Easy to fly. Just as advertised!

A good valued item. Very durable. It's quite impressive for such a small package, with the 3 different modes of flight. This plane is great for the beginner and for the experience pilot of rc aircraft . Very fun to fly, and extremely quiet. Fully aerobatic in mode 3. I've enjoyed every flight so far. Best to be flown in very light winds, or no wind for best results. Flight time is quite long up to 30 min if you are just slow flying. Worth every penny.

Absolutely fantastic! I was hesitant at first, with such a low price point. After watching several review videos from serious RC content creators all gushing about how great it was, I figured it was a safe bet. Oh boy, was it ever! First, the shipping. I ordered it Friday afternoon, had it Tuesday morning with the free shipping option. The item was sufficiently packed with some craft paper stuffed inside the Amazon box around the packaging box for a bit of padding. It arrived in perfect, unscathed shape. Checked all flight controls on a level surface (note: must use Expert mode on the controller to do this) and verified they were all free moving and returned to center, which they did, no adjustments required at all. The wheels take a bit more force than you might think they should to pop in, I don't recommend using your thumb! I braced the back of the wing in my one hand and used a coin to pop it into the slot, then installed the lock screw. Took it out to the park and flew it in 15 minutes right out of the box, only because I walked to the park. It flies AMAZING!!! I've never operated, let alone owned an RC plane before. My only piloting experience comes from playing flight sim games on the computer since I was a kid. So I understand the princepals of flying, but doing so with cockpit view and joystick and pedals, not an RC controller and watching from the ground. Yet, within 30 seconds, I was comfortably doing laps around the park. That said, I was flying in the "beginner" mode which has the flight assist feature. I definitely recommend starting here if this is your first RC plane. This little bugger is FAST and it's very easy to get a bit disoriented. Had 2 small crashes, plane doesn't have a scratch and the prop saver worked as it should both times, easy to pop back on too! This little plane is an absolute blast to fly and a great bargain way to enter into the world of RC planes.

When we received this plane, it didn't work right out of the box. However, I think it was a lemon, as the replacement plane works perfectly and is very fun.

Plane is very durable. Flew it into the side of a building by accident and it bounced right off and was back in the air after putting the propeller on. Extremely easy to fly for beginners.

These things usually break on me but it won't, batteries last for ages also awesome fun I love it. My 9 year old picked up flight with this plane in 10 minutes.
