Great desk toy
I bought this to finish off the combiner and it’s so fun, I end up messing with this figure all the time while working at my desk, perfect if you’re just looking for something fun.

Me Mini Dino!
Originally I wasn't going to invest in these core class but in the light of an upgrade kit being available for the combined 6 Dino figures I decided to go for it as it would remain in combine mode pretty much all the time. This individual figure is better in Robot mode for me, he looks pretty good. Decent articulation and poses can be obtained.Transformation is pretty simple and the Dino mode isn't bad except for the huge rear section that makes him look like a dump truck.Usually, Grimlock is the chest or torso of Volcanicus but this time round he is the lower left leg. Combine mode don't look too bad from the front. There is a peg and hole to fit Grimlock into Sludge leg.

Me Grimlock look small!
These Core Class Transformers are great if you have a limited display space, they’re about 8cm high and cover a range of eras. This Grimlock is based on the G1 (original) though some slight changes have been made to accommodate both the small size and the fact that this forms the leg of a large combined robot with the other 5 Dinobots.I’m not keen on the big lump at the back but when you see the combined Volcanicus robot you’ll see why it was necessary.
