Generator dominate, shore power secondary
Its two cheap lighting contactors with a sensing board to fire the correct contactor. Its not a transfer switch at all. Its two separate contactors in one enclosure.I would not recommend. I actually returned this product.

Great Switch! Follow torgue requirements on terminal screws!!!
My rv would work with shore power but not with generator power. It turned out to be the transfer switch. This one worked great. Easy to install. MAKE SURE YOU TORQUE THE TERMINAL BOLTS TO THE SPECIFIED TORQUE REQUIRMENTS! I didnt have them torqued tight enough and it would not switch to generator power. There are notes all over the instructions to make sure they are torqued correctly. They mean it! Otherwise it won't have enough contact to work!

Used Product was knowingly shipped defective
Product arrived in multiple broken and disassembled pieces, obviously not caused during transportation as the screws were already unscrewed and removed in the relay box.I was hoping to get a better deal by buying a used one. Well that didn’t work, item was destroyed and the description said nothing about the items condition. Horrible tactic to save 10$ causing me to spend $10 in gas. Had to return and reorder a new part.

Works as expected
Unit works as expected. The instructions for install are not as clear as I would of liked to see. I would of liked to see different options for using this. I put a battery inverter as the shore power and then the line in from a generator or pole as the generator input. The delay timing would be beneficial to know how long it will delay the switch. Other than that the unit works great. Only uses 4 watts from shore power / battery when no load is applied.

If you have a Winnebago Navion - it will take a miracle to install
The device is fine....just Winnebago does not take access too seriously. They jam it into a crawl space and it takes hours and all kinds of special tools to install.

Easy to install
This item and installation was under $100. If we had gone to a service center, the total would have been around $600. It is exactly the right piece and was easy to install.

It does what it's intended to.I don't understand why I can't install it back down.Read the directions carefully, there are some good tips on wire lengths.

AC works again!
Wouldn't ya know, the only time we didn't use the surge filter on the campground pole we get hit. Easy to install and works great. Hope to never have to buy again but if I do, I know where to go!

Uses power all the time - not for use with Inverter System
There is no situation where there is a circuit made without power. Either way, it must have power to pull the relay in which means it's always drawing power unlike others that are always normally closed on one leg and only change to the other when it senses power. There's nothing "wrong" with this method, just that it laways consumes power to close the relays.
