A corded angle grinder made to US specs and sizes. The body is relatively short and thick. This is not a heavy industrial grinder but should have more than enough power and endurance for most home shop uses. Being a corded AC grinder it never runs out of power. And it fits all of my blades and accessories.

This appears to be a reasonably well-made budget angle grinder that is similar in design, features, and pricing to the Harbor Freight Bauer 7 Amp slide switch grinder. This comes with two 0.050” thick 4 ½” cutoff wheels and two 0.250” thick 4 ½” depressed center wheels, a pin wrench, spare set of brushes, blade guard, a handle that can be installed on the left or right side of the tool, and a manual. The unit is turned on and off with a slide switch located on the left side of the tool. While serviceable, this is an awkward placement if (like me) you are left-handed. I would have much preferred the more convenient trigger type which is typically a feature found on more expensive models. I knew this when I placed my order so I’m not deducting any stars but am noting it in case you’re considering this model and hadn’t noticed the switch location. Setup is minimal; install the “tool less” blade guard, install a wheel, and install the handle. I found the “tool less” guard to be anything but. The nut has to be tightened enough that the band clamp is snug around the housing but doing so makes the band too tight to remove the guard so you have to loosen the nut. Not the end of the world but a frustrating design that caused me to ding the review one star. I’ll be using this fairly infrequently and for light duty applications so this unit is more than adequate for my needs and the price point seems on par with the quality of the product. VBLIOT isn’t a company known to me which is always a concern when it comes to tool longevity but at under $40 at the time I placed the order this seemed like a fairly low risk purchase for my use case. That said; all in all there isn’t a super compelling reason to pick this tool over Harbor Freight’s slightly less expensive Bauer model.

First time I used it I noticed it was making a noise in gears the third time I used it cutting metal it it popped and fell apart.

My very first words upon opening were " wow this sucker is heavy !" , and that's in a good way! I have had some of these bargain grinders in the past and they were light as a feather compared to name brand. The barrel is a nice size to grasp, I have what I would label as medium/large mens hands. I have several grinders and this one ranks a pleasant to hold. Now my only complaint regarding the tool is the switch. Others may have it but in my collection it mimics the Bosch. It is what I call the slide/rocker. I honestly dislike it, other brands may have it as well, but not sure. Basically you push your thumb down then slide forward and the slowly lift your thumb to lock it into on position. Imagine your thumb on a tiny seesaw pushing down one end then pushing it forward and then lifting your thumb to lower the other end of the seesaw. My switch was a little tight to begin with but smothered out after a dozen motions. If you are a DIYer new to angle grinders practice a bit to get good at one handing it, other wise just use two hands. The kit also comes with two grinding discs, and two cutting discs, sweet ! I think its a nice kit for the money. Only time will tell how well it will last. I give it an enthusiastic thumbs up!

I read through some other reviews before writing this one, and I agree with most of the observations and descriptions, and I don't have much to contribute of my own. I've never owned an angle grinder before so I can't compare it to another brand or product. Just thought it would be good to have in my shop for occasional use. Upon inspecting the tool, my impression is that it is heavy duty and well constructed, with great fit and finish. The included wrench is for tightening/loosening the disc that secures the blade or wheel to the spindle, and the other end is for the nut on the band that secures the guard to the body of the tool. A set of extra brushes is included in the bag with the instruction manual, which was surprisingly well written, and in good English. In addition to the grinding and cut-off wheels included, it would have been nice to have included a flap disc sanding wheel as well. My only actual complaint about the product is the placement and operation of the on-off switch. It is awkward to operate and it probably would have been better placed on top of the unit such that you are less likely to accidentally turn it on or off when handling the tool. All in all, it's a solid well-made tool and I have no reason not to give it a five-star rating.
