This has to be the BEST NUTCRACKER AVAILABLE. It is very well made, from a natural resource - WOOD - and WORKS PERFECTLY, cracking nuts easily, with very little effort and, WITHOUT DESTROYING THE KERNEL. I recommend that, BEFORE USE, the SCREW IS REMOVED and, A GOOD WAX POLISH IS APPLIED TO THE THREAD to ensure free operation. The wax polish should, also, be applied to the knob at the top of the thread. Similarly, I recommend that the WHOLE OF THE BODY - BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE PLUS THE INTERNAL THREAD, is treated with the good quality wax. Once the wax is dry, give the whole item a buff with a soft cloth BUT, DO NOT REMOVE THE WAX FROM THE THREADED AREAS. This will help the body and knob from being marked. Leaving the wax on the threads will ensure trouble-free running. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. In fact, I've already ordered - and received - another one for my daughter's family. A great product crafted from a natural material, obviously, with care by a craftsman.

Had this little gadget for a while, I only ever crack walnuts in it but use it every day, great for me as I have arthritis in my thumbs, would definitely buy again 👍

Perfect for leisurely cracking nuts without breaking the nut itself or having to pick out of the crushed shells. A bit slow having to wind down and up for each single nut. But cute and the kids love getting involved and it's safe enough for them to use without any problems. It looks great, is very cute, well made, the wood is solid and good quality.

Looks amusing in the basket with nuts but does the job. A little bit of wood chipped of when I first used it as there's a round head on this crushing screw and it slipped so I presume would work better if flat instead but otherwise a good tool and great value.

Loved its design at first. Worked well for the first few times but the screw thread quickly began to shatter, which affected the screw mechanism. The screw would then no longer turn smoothly or evenly and the body split due to the uneven pressure being applied throughout the nutcracker.

this nut cracker is absolutely brilliant for hazelnuts. with a usual pincer type nut cracker the hazelnut often gets demolished - but with this the nut remains whole and easily separated from its shell. Great quality too - it feels like it will last for years. For Walnuts Brazil Nuts and Almonds i have found that pincer type tool works better.

Great product used every year great for walnuts as my favourite nuts haven't tried on any other nuts but I'm sure will have no problem cracking. Love the design easy storage when not in use.

This is a lovely product for the mantle or shelf, however it doesn't really feel substantial enough to actually crack nuts unfortunately... I didn't push it too far before. Giving up not wanting to break it
