Castor Oil Eye Drops

Used this for a while now and this is my second bottle. It keeps my eyes moist and helps my sight as I have a cataract and I find it makes my sight better.

Great for my dry eyes. Put 2 drops in each eye before going to sleep, rub excess on eyelid. No more waking up at 4am due to sore, gritty eyes.

Only gets a three stars as trying to get one drip from the dropper is virtually impossible without a lot of effort. While storing the bottle the dropper is fully immersed in the oil so that on pulling it out to get a drop in the eye the outside of the dropper is covered in oil which runs off into the eye before you have had time to give an exact measured drop.The only two ways to try to get as much off are by (method 1) scraping it off from the dropper on the neck of the bottle, which is virtually impossible as you have to keep turning it and get more oil on while you are doing so. Method 2 is to wipe off the excess onto a tissue and then getting a controlled drip into the eye. A lot of wastage that way, which at £266.30 a litre one could do without. one option would be to do away with the dropper and just have a glass rod inside the lid which can have a majority of the excess wiped away on the neck of the bottle and just allow one drip into the eye from the outside of the glass rod. As the single glass rod would have less surface area there would be less oil adhering to it and therefore less wastage.This works in much the same way as other oil based eye drops, so no complains on effectiveness so that is why I only gave it three full stars., five for a perfect product minus two for the use.

I tried these drops after reading an article about Castor Oil eye drops in a health magazine. After suffering from blepharitis for a few years and having tried many types of drops and heat masks, I can honestly say these Castor Oil drops work. Used on a regular basis with a drop in each eye overnight, you wake up and feel your eyes have been lubricated and no itchy gritty feeling.My only one negative is that the bottle top and dropper are constantly leaking and would benefit from sourcing a new more secure bottle.Otherwise I would recommend this product to anyone.

I bought these drops in 2019 so this is a very belated review. I had cataracts in my left eye and Moorfields hospital had offered me surgery as I’d lost about 5 lines of vision on the eye chart. With lockdown - non-urgent eye appointments didn’t happen. Well I used this oil before bed - it’s sticky and you can’t see a thing with it in. I cannot even remember how many nights I used it - but less than a whole bottle. My normal vision has returned and I appear to no longer have cataracts. I kind of just forgot about them so I can’t even say how long it took. This is supposedly impossible. I recommend to give them a try but test carefully the first time as some people have a painful reaction.

Didn't work for me, far to heavy for myeyes. I've found other uses for it.

.Unfortunately, it exacerbated my meibomian gland dysfunction The thick oil can further block gland. I used as instructed at night. Dropper not good as comes out very thick.
