Was concerned at first given the other reviews mentioning the issues they had with the articulating breaking after the first couple of uses (seemed more so on this 10ft model compared to the 5ft). But at the price point i couldn't pass it up, however I did opt for the 3 year insurance just incase. Making sure the cable was laid properly was a little awkward and honestly i was probably overly cautious, but the overall use of the scope was simply fantastic. I had spent literally hours the day before trying to retrieve a wash cloth down a shower drain that was stuck past 2 90 degree bends. Using this, the drain was clear and every thing put away in 45mins. The image was crystal clear, operating the articulating camera took a little getting used to but honestly not that bad, and the hook attachment was sturdy enough hold and retrieve without bending or breaking like the cheaper models. Only downside i did notice is the cover on the cable started to get chewed up so will probably have to rewrap eventually. All in all, highly recommend this product but keep in mind it is a precision tool and should be treated with a little more care.

Everything about this scope is awesome EXCEPT, the fact that the wire, for lack of correct word, is very limp and will not stand out straight on its own. if you need to inspect something that requires the probe to support itself, then you have to zip tie it to a hanger or something stiff. If your requirements are flexibility, then this works well. I returned product because of the lack of probe rigidity.

My engine was making strange sounds when I tried to start it--and of course it WASN'T starting! I needed to see what was going on inside those cylinder walls! Well, I decided to purchase a boroscope. I knew a boroscope would allow me to "look" down into the engine, but I got really excited when I found this particular one--with it's small diameter lens and articulating camera. This, I thought, could possibly allow me look back up at the valves from inside the spark plug hole...and I bought it and it did just that! It was fantastic! Not only could I see the tell-tale marks on the surface of the piston below clear as day. I could also manipulate the camera to perfectly view the very sticking valve that was causing all my woes... Ever since that first use--my "only" reason for needing this camera--I have utilized this awesome tool over and over again on all kinds of projects, both automotive and otherwise. The video quality is excellent and the price can't be beat. It is fantastic! I would definitely recommend this product.

This has been a fantastic purchase! I am usually pretty picky and have no problem returning items I am dissatisfied with. This was a keeper! The articulating camera makes this the best borescope I have ever used. The design puts all the important controls right at your thumb. The thumbwheel has a mark on it that I use make sure the head is in it's straight position so I can easily pull it back out of tight spaces. The probe cable is just right, not too long to get tangled up and long enough to reach what needs to be seen. Sharp picture. Autofocus works well and adjustable illumination helps get a good picture. Unit boots fast and has never crashed or locked up. Great battery life and holds charge when in storage. Comes with a card that makes transfer of pictures to a computer super easy. Comes in a very nice protective case to neatly store everything. Added bonus: it comes with a magnet, hook and side mirror that securely screw onto the probe tip. I don't use these often, but they are sometimes handy and I didn't have to make an extra purchase just to find out. I have had a very good experience with this, so yes, I would buy again!

I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this product for the price. It's extremely easy to use. My wife, who has never used one, was easily able to test it and her curiousity had her using it took to look under our under furniture. The case, that it came in, is very well thought out and a good quality. It comes with the case some accessories and the charging cable. All of which have a nice premium feel. I also included a picture of the back where there is the locking mechanism. Please remember to lock it in place when you put it together. I didn't and almost dropped it down the stairs. The articulation is wonderful, it's nice and smooth. Mostly, I'm extremely impressed by the video feed. My last two pictures are so you can see the quality. I took the 1st picture with my phone, and then the 2nd picture I took of the borescope's screen with the camera in roughly the same position. In person, it's even better than my picture!

Most functions on the camera seem to work fine in the short term but the long cable supplied with the camera keeps collapsing after 3-4ft rendering the length of the cable practically useless. I regret purchasing the camera as it was primarily purchased for its long cable and it does not operate as expected.

The scope is definitely a good value and worth the money, but it leaves some things to be desired. Mainly the video quality or picture quality is lacking. It gives you a pretty grainy or somewhat grainy. In other words, the picture quality is Just good enough to keep you from making the effort to return. The articulation action works great but the cord is way too limp. It doesn't hold its shape at all. It's like holding a little piece of rope. If only it were a little bit stiffer, I ended up using several pieces of shrink wrap near the camera to stiffen up the first third of the cord so that I could guide it into the intake of an engine to inspect, at which point it worked great. Small size is definitely a plus
