Brabantia lighter very useful and of good quality

I'd purchased this as I wanted something refillable to avoid waste. Unfortunately after 8 months the igniter fell out and the product was useless. Really disappointing for a Brabantia product and unhappy to have to chuck it away. Contacted the seller who will not replace or refund.

We bought this lighter to replace a Zippo MPL that we wanted to have in another room rather than the kitchen. It looks like the Zippo but is more bulky, and if anything is more easily held if your hands are a bit wet. Its capacity is also a bit greater so there's a bigger interval between refills.I can imagine that for older folks it might be a pain to use because the push "trigger" requires a bit of force. The safety lock works (for now, it seems sturdy enough to last) and is useful if you have little "helpers" in your kitchen from time to time, so it is as childproof as Brabantia can make it.I've trusted Brabantia as a solid brand that we've trusted for years, but while their mechanical gadgets such as can-openers are fine this one, bought in mid-July, is no longer lighting as of mid-September even though there is gas in there. The irony is that we used the old Zippo lighter to test this by lighting the Brabantia unit from the old supposedly superceded lighter!Since Brabantia offer a 5-year guarantee it looks as though we'll also be testing that as well. C'mon, Brabantia, you're better than this!

Love this lighter it’s stylish I think because it’s white and it quite heavy

This is a great quality lighter , just as you would expect from brabantia. It does not disappoint.

The lighter is ideal for starting a open fire, candles gas hobs etc.I had my previous one for more years than I can remember. I did considerbuying the chrome finished version then thought; why? I am lighting fires andalso read the reviews. This model did the job the last time and I am hoping itwill continue to last me at least five years.Worth every penny!

A bit low on gas always, can't tell how much left or if any going in or not. Good otherwise.
