Wonderful set, great value, kid really loved it
Every toy in this package was beautifully crafted, there were no issues with parts breaking or colors being off. The toys are all functional and reacted well with magnets the way Bakugan toys should. What's most important though is my kid really loved it and specifically asked for this one, and he was far from disappointed. Five stars for an excellent set.

Nephew loves it still after 3 months
To an adult these toys look like junk kids will play with for 2 seconds and then never touch again, but my 11 year old nephew still plays with it and brings it everywhere after months of play, so I’d say this is a great gift

Lets play Kiddo
I bought this for my grandson for his birthday. He was turning 8. He is so excited about legos and always has been. Loves all kinds of sets and different levels of strategic mastery. Might have been a challenge but that is a good thing!

Great set of Bakugan! But Spin Master can do better
All of the Bakugan from this particular Legends Collection are pretty cool. The Nova Dragonoid looks especially nice in the Aurelus (gold) colors, Trox with his Baku-Gear is a nice combo with the translucent green pieces, and Centipod + Surturan are fun figures all around. The set is nice and absolutely a great buy whether you want to pick some Bakugan up or to gift it to someone! However, just to scrutinize a bit, Spin Master definitely cheaped out a little bit with the toys. The toy quality isn't any different from previous releases, and they all function properly for me, but there's a noticeable lack of paint applications on Trox and Centipod, and Surturan to a lesser extent, when compared to their previous iterations in Armored Alliance or Geogan Rising. Trox no longer has any paint on his tail leading to his back, and is missing a few details on his head, feet, and chest. Centipod has almost no paint on his tail aside from these "swoosh" marks that were used on two of the segments, and is missing paint on his eyes. Surturan isn't lacking as much compared to his old one, but the main issue I have with the new one from this pack is that the two swoosh marks used on his back aren't even aligned properly! Nova Dragonoid doesn't have an old version of him to compare with, but it wouldn't have hurt to have a bit more paint on him, as it's mostly the gold plastic with little paint elsewhere. I know some may not be bothered as much with the paintjobs as me, especially if the toys function as they're supposed to and there was fun to be had with them, but it's lame that liberties were taken with the toys' appearances. I love the set overall and have been enjoying the toys from it, and still believe it's a great pickup, but I know Spin Master is more than capable of giving these toys proper paintjobs.

Fun gift/starter set
This is our first experience with Bakugan figures. As a household we are very into Transformers and other transforming toys but have never had anything Bakugan before. So far, so good. A bit about Bakugan. It's sort of a mashup between Pokémon & Transformers. From Pokemon it takes the "gotta collect them all" aspect, the card game, mini companion warrior thing and blends it with an auto-transforming figure gimmick. All in all a pretty cool blend in my opinion. But that only works if the pieces come together to create a fun package. So does it? - Auto-transforming gimmick worked well with these figures. (Requires use of a special card with a metal core. (Or you're nearest refrigerator.) Only trick is that getting them back into a ball requires a specific order; not complicated just necessary to get it all clipped back together. - Card game is...yeah, we didn't really explore this part of it as it really does require some more figures or card or friends with figures and cards. Summary: yep, this a toy that works (in our humble opinion.) What about this set specifically? 4 figures with cards, including a weapon pack that transforms as well (cool), and a couple activation cards. You could try starting up a battle with just this set but it'd be limited. Can't comment to exclusivity of figures in this set or their relative strength (all key features of games of this style). I can imagine that this might not be a collector's dream set but for kids just getting into the series or looking to fill out their collection, we really like it.

Fun set
I got this set of Bakugan for my son to add to his small collection. There are 3 bakugan and 1 Geogan in the set-- all accurate to what is advertised. This set had three firsts for us-- our first Geogan, our first Bakugan that lights up and our first Bakugan with additional armor-- so my son was super hyped up about it ("Is it here yet? Is it here yet?") All three of the 'specialty' pieces are really cool... The Geogan (Surturan- the red one) folds up into a cylindrical shape, and is novel in that way. Ultra Trox (the green one) has additional armor that is somewhat confusing at first and definitely took some trial and error to figure out. The armor attaches to his back with a magnet, and to set it up you push the two weapons? back and then lock them in. When you place the armor on his back the magnet will trigger the lock to release and the weapons will snap forward. The other two smaller pieces of armor stick in the holes on his shoulders. Nova Dragonoid (yellow/orange one) is the one that lights up, which is a really cool effect. The light is off until he snaps into his full form from rolling over a BakuCore, and lasts about 3 seconds until it turns back off again. The fact that the light is temporary is a nice feature because, though they are easily accessible, I don't want to have to change his batteries too often, if at all. When taking Nova Dragonoid out of the plastic packaging shell, his arms were forward and it took me a few minutes of tinkering around to figure out how to fold him up into a ball. I finally figured out that you have to swivel his arms all the way back so that his 'forearms' are touching the top of his wings. There may be another way, but I couldn't find it. The instructions might even tell us that, but in my defense my son was sitting on them and we thought we didn't get any. The last of the Bakugan, Centipod (the white one), is the least exciting and also a bit confusing. He rolls up and pops back out easily enough-- I just can't figure out which direction he's supposed to face when opened up, because whichever way you turn him, he still appears to be upside down. I'm not exactly a Bakugan expert though, so my opinion probably doesn't hold much weight compared to what actual collectors think. As always, the Bakugan are packaged very efficiently to keep them from shifting around, but WOW, I wish they were easier to get out. It feels a bit like the game Operation when trying to get them out without accidentally snapping off any appendages. Regardless, we were successful in removing them without any damage to the toys-- thank the gods. This is definitely a fun set of Bakugan. I wish they were a little less expensive, but even still the pricing seems comparable to what other sets have cost us in the past.
